When spoke at the Summit for International Women Entrepreneurs in Germany, organized by SIE gründet e.V.- Verband internationaler Entrepreneurinnen in Deutschland yesterday, something in me softened and sharpened at the same time.
She didn’t just speak about empathetic leadership, she incarnated it.
Rooted. Clear. Spacious.
Every word anchored in presence.
Empathy is not a tool we apply. It’s a quality of being that reshapes the field.
In regenerative leadership, empathy is not optional.
It’s the connective tissue.
The capacity to feel without fusing.
To stay with complexity without needing to solve it immediately.
To honour the emotional undercurrents in a system.
Regenerative systems are living systems.
They don’t respond to control. They respond to attention.
And attention without empathy becomes extractive.
Throughout the summit, the role of migrant women entrepreneurs was emphasized as more than economic: culturally transformative, rebellious, repairing, bold.
Many of us carry templates for navigating rupture, for holding multiplicity, for leading from the in-between.
That too, is regenerative.
Thank you Frauenalia gUG and Begoña de la Marta for the opportunity to join with some of my fellow participants of the Scaling up programm: Dr. Jennifer Chan de Avila, Inès Kassubeck and Ewa Dajer!
That was a really nourishing and supportive day (imagine the amazingness of sharing a room with 41 different nationalities!) 🔥🤍🙏
