Earlier this week, I organized a small meetup.

Two women showed up.

We sat down as strangers.

When I walked home, I felt full of energy and joy.

✨ I don’t make friends for a season — I make them for life. ✨

I just got back from a 3-day trip to Brandenburg with a few of my closest friends. We’ve known each other for over 12 years, but we don’t all live in Berlin anymore, so spending this uninterrupted time together meant everything.

We walked. We talked. We laughed until we cried. We cooked and shared beautiful meals.
It was simple… and so deeply healing. 💛

What blows my mind is:
I met every single one of these women right here in Berlin.
We were all expats. All searching. And somehow we found each other.
Even after so many years, and even from different corners of the world, we’re still connected.

And this is why I created Soulful Speed-Friending —

✨ Soulful Speed-Friending is back! ✨
But first, let me tell you a little story…

Last weekend, I went to a “house-cooling” party. At least this is how we called it 😆 One of my dearest friends is leaving Berlin for good. After repainting her apartment, she invited her closest circle to gather one last time.
We were laughing, singing, dancing, oh my heart was full. 💛

Here’s what hit me:
Every single one of those amazing women I met because I once stepped out of my comfort zone.
Two of them I met at a random meet-up — I was just looking for connection, for friendship. And somehow, miraculously, I found it.
More than 10 years later, they’re still here. 💫

That’s why I created Soulful Speed-Friending.

Last weekend was intense.
Two big events, one day.
The IamExpat Fair—an incredible space to connect with fellow entrepreneurs—and the 5K Vitamin Well Frauenlauf, which I ran with four amazing Soulful Sisters.

We had been training, we had matching hats, we were ready.

Only a few weeks before, I realized both events were on the same day.
Old me would have tried to squeeze in both at full speed and enjoy neither.
But this time…I chose differently.

I showed up briefly at the fair, then left in time to warm up, laugh, put on matching lipstick, run, and celebrate with the women I’ve built real connection with.

Because here’s what I’ve learned:
When you know your values, it’s easier to choose.
And for me, community > hustle.
It doesn’t mean I don’t care about my work—I just don’t want to miss out on what matters most while chasing it.

If you ever feel torn between options, maybe it’s not about doing it all—maybe it’s about doing what aligns.

I’m planning a workshop on discovering your core values soon—because decisions get easier, gentler, and more you when you know what you truly care about.

Yesterday I went back to my workout class for the first time in nearly two weeks.
I had been sick. I was out of rhythm.
And honestly? It was hard to show up.

My muscles hurt today, and I almost canceled. If it hadn’t been booked weeks ago—and if a friend hadn’t been counting on me (thanks 🙏)—I probably would have stayed home.

But I’m so glad I went.
Because now, I feel stronger. My body feels more alive. The motivation is back.

It reminded me: starting again is always the hardest part.

Even when we’re returning to something familiar, it still takes courage.

So here’s to small restarts.
Gentle accountability.
And remembering how good it feels once we begin.
