Today marks a huge step forward on my path as a Jiu-Jitsu practitioner and coach. I suppose I’m Professor Tortuga now that we’re opening the doors of our new Dojo right here in Berlin.

Don’t forget to sleep!
A good diet and a workout routine is not enough to have a fully healthy mind and body.
Sleeping is a key part of our wellbeing. It’s recommended to sleep at least 7-8 hours to fully regenerate the body and the brain!
Lack of sleep is directly linked to Alzheimer’s diseases and cancer.
Don’t be afraid to sleep long, resting is part of the training... 😉

Walking Barefoot
People asking me if walking barefoot is good for you... that deserves a smack on the head! OF COURSE IT’S GOOD FOR YOU!
The feet contain 200,000 nerve endings which explains why walking barefoot is so sensitive. The modern world developed shoes that prevent all the muscles in our feet to develop properly.
Walking barefoot not only strengthens the muscles in the foot it also increases your bone mass and helps people with flat foot to get back that natural arch on the underside of the foot.
Another important aspect of barefoot walking is “EARTHING” which is making contact with the Earth’s electrical field. The Earth is negatively charged while the air is full of positive ions. In recent years with the widespread use of radios, TVs, cellphones and all WiFi devices the amount of positive ions has increased dramatically.

Eating healthy is no rocket science it’s 2020 we are all aware of it, but are you DOING something about it?
In the last 50 years our culture has adopted a dietary lifestyle that is harmful to overall health - a diet rich in white sugars and other bad carbohydrates, bad fats, and other processed, unnatural foods.
No better time than now to start taking care of what we eat and what we drink. It’s the fuel that keeps the spaceship 🚀 going!
The wild animal diet is rich in FATS and PROTEINS and with a low CARBS intake. Is only the advances in modern agriculture that allowed the mass production of cereals that could feed large amounts of people BUT this unbalanced diet causes a widespread ill-effects of deficiencies in proteins, minerals and vitamins.
Hint: VEGGIES UNLIMITED!

BIWA Lifestyle Intro.

B.I.W.A.(Because I’m a Wild Animal) is a lifestyle based on finding the balance between the wild animal we are and this modern world of today by reconnecting our minds to our bodies.

What is the most important thing in this world? I say: YOU! Your Body and your Mind. It’s important to first understand who you are and what you are; trapped inside a body, lives the spark that can be called “you”. What kind of body or “spaceship” is carrying around this deeply intricate spark? Zoologists would categorize us within the family of the apes, more specifically the “Naked Ape”. Here is where we begin; learning about the animal that we are so we don’t go against our basic primate instincts, in this modern world of today that is designed to do exactly that. I will be a “guide” more than a “coach” through this life-long journey of reconnecting our minds with our primitive primate bodies, being aware that we now live in a concrete jungle...

  • Eat Good: Finding a balance on a Low-Carbs/High-Fat/High-Protein diet. Less refined sugars, more raw foods - more water - vegetables unlimited!
