UAEM European Youth Essay Competition 2014

UAEM's 2014 Essay Competition strives to mobilze creative and critical thinking around "access to me Today, we would like to hear YOUR thoughts and ideas!

There are massive disparities in global access to life-saving medical technologies. A third of the world’s population lacks affordable access to lifesaving medicines, and more than one billion people are affected by one or more “neglected diseases”, which only draw a tiny fraction of global R&D investment. It’s time that citizens around the world demand a more equitable, needs-driven system of medical research and development. Participate in our essay contest and help us envision a future where medical innovations reach all who need them – regardless of nationality or income.

And the winner is...

The first prize essay was submitted by Nicolas Christofi and Max Dosch (Prague). The runner-up was submitted by Nicolas Blondel (London) and the third prize essay was submitted by Niek Achten (Utrecht). Please check out their great texts on our website.
