Cut the Stress, Look the Difference
Stress can wear you out.
It may make you fatigued and overwhelmed, and it doesn’t do your skin any favors, either. Stress can cause a chemical response in your skin, making it sensitive and reactive. On top of this, when you’re stressed, you might not take care of yourself. Stress can break up your healthy routine and leave you feeling worse.
There’s no single cure-all for stress. But there are steps you can take to help take the edge off, get focused, and regain control. Here are some healthy hints to combat stress.
Exercise
Good things happen when you take time to exercise. Physical activity releases endorphins, triggering positive feelings. It can be as simple as a walk around the block or a kickboxing class. Whatever you do, get your heart rate up every day to stave off stress.
Get Centered
Stress is often a reaction to feeling out of control. Take time every day to clear your mind and reflect. Find a quiet space and relax your body. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. Let the energy flow in with every breath. Find a positive mantra to repeat—start with “I am strong” or “I am here.”
Write It Down
Keeping a journal of your emotions helps put things in perspective. Start a daily diary and list the things you’ve done well. Focus on the positive. Be kind to yourself. Writing out your problems can be the first step to dealing with conflict.
Take a Breath
Oxygen is your friend. When you feel overwhelmed, take a moment and regroup. Begin by taking a deep breath. Focus on your breathing. Feel the air entering your lungs and leaving your body. Oxygen will circulate through your body and you’ll feel more grounded and mindful.
Sleep It Off
Your body needs sleep to rest and repair itself. And your skin is no different. Try to get seven to eight hours of rest a night. Make sure your sleep space is clean, quiet, well ventilated, and dark. Bedtime means no more screen time.
Laugh
Nobody likes to be told to smile, but you know how good you feel when you laugh. Laughter releases hormones that relax the body. Chances are, if you’re laughing you’re in a positive space.
Replenish Your Skin
Before bed, use Celavive® Replenishing Night Cream. This rich cream promotes hydrated, radiant skin. A luxurious blend of natural botanicals and cell-signaling peptides fights the appearance of wrinkles to restore the youthful look of your complexion overnight.
