Wahl des Beirates für Migration und Integration der Verbandsgemeinde Unkel – Briefwahl am 21. September 2025

Die Wahlzeit des amtierenden Beirates für Migration und Integration in der Verbandsgemeinde Unkel neigt sich dem Ende entgegen. Bürgermeister Fehr lädt als Wahlleiter alle wahlberechtigten Bürgerinnen und Bürger herzlich zur Neuwahl dieses Beirates ein. Die Wahl findet bis Sonntag, den 21. September 2025, ausschließlich per Briefwahl statt.

„Die Beiräte für Migration und Integration sind essenziell, um die Interessen und Bedürfnisse von Menschen mit Migrationshintergrund in die kommunale Politik einzubringen. Sie fördern den interkulturellen Dialog, unterstützen Integrationsprojekte und tragen aktiv dazu bei, Vorurteile und Diskriminierung abzubauen. Angesichts der zunehmenden rechtsextremen Tendenzen in unserer Gesellschaft ist es wichtiger denn je, dass wir gemeinsam für eine offene und inklusive Gesellschaft einstehen“, wirbt Bürgermeister Karsten Fehr für eine möglichst hohe Wahlbeteiligung.

Wählen dürfen alle Einwohnerinnen und Einwohner der Verbandsgemeinde Unkel mit ausländischer Staatsangehörigkeit und staatenlose Einwohner. Auch Einwohnerinnen und Einwohner, die die deutsche Staatsangehörigkeit erworben haben (z.B. als Spätaussiedler oder durch Einbürgerung), sind wahlberechtigt.

Wählerinnen und Wähler müssen am Wahltag 16 Jahre alt sein und seit mindestens drei Monaten in der Verbandsgemeinde Unkel wohnen.

Die nachfolgenden Kandidatinnen und Kandidaten bewerben sich um die neun Sitze im Beirat, die neu zu vergeben sind:

Alle Wahlunterlagen werden derzeit von der Verbandsgemeindeverwaltung Unkel per Post an die Wahlberechtigten versandt. Eine persönliche Stimmabgabe im Wahllokal ist in diesem Jahr nicht vorgesehen. Die ausgefüllten Wahlunterlagen müssen bis spätestens 21. September 2025 (16.00 Uhr) bei der Verbandsgemeindeverwaltung Unkel eingegangen sein, um berücksichtigt werden zu können.

Wer sich für wahlberechtigt hält, aber keine Wahlbenachrichtigung bekommen hat, sollte sich möglichst zeitig beim Wahlamt der Verbandsgemeindeverwaltung Unkel unter 02224 / 1806-28 oder -25 oder per E-Mail unter wahlen@vgvunkel.de melden. Das Wahlamt beantwortet gerne auch weitere Fragen zur Wahl oder zum Ablauf der Briefwahl.

🚨 Ban Artificial Food Dyes in Children’s Products —

Millions of Indian children consume packaged foods and drinks loaded with artificial dyes like Red 40, Yellow 5, and Blue 1 — additives linked to behavioral disorders, enamel erosion, gum inflammation, allergies, and even DNA damage.

While these dyes are banned or heavily restricted in the U.S. and Europe, they remain widely used in India, putting our children’s health at risk. This silent health crisis is unacceptable.

If unchecked, it will cause rising hyperactivity, anxiety, allergic reactions, enamel staining, and potentially even cancer risks in the future.

The good news? Food companies have already started phasing out these dyes in Western markets — India must demand the same for our children.
