For all those who want to work with special needs kids there will be a Zoom meeting with Sylvia Leiner Shordike on Saturday. She will give insights into the NeuroHorizons® training in Europe and Boston, which is aimed at parents, Feldenkrais® practitioners / professionals and caregivers.
2 hours that convey what specifically happens in this training and who can benefit from it and how.

I especially recommend this 1 year training after having participated as an expert in 4 segments in Austria and now having decided to do the whole training in Germany, which has just started.
When I took this photo of the wonderful girl during a session with Sylvia in St. Aegyd 2023, I was deeply impressed by Sylvia's way of working and teaching.

It is remarkable how versatile, easy and clear as well as structured, always meaningful for the child, Sylvia works, teaches and also teaches parents what they can do specifically at home to trigger neuropolasticity in the child's brain, make optimal use of it and create many new connections.

As a Feldenkrais® practitioner (since 2005), an expert in working with special needs kids (since 2014) and as a systemic counsellor and coach (since 1998), I can say that it is fantastic to experience floor work (awareness through movement) and individual work (functional integration) in a completely different way than in conventional training courses and to know that it can be translated 1:1 into my work, to experience and learn from a different perspective.
There are certainly things that we already know and yet I am immersing myself deeper and deeper in a process of development.
Because we learn for a lifetime - as long as the body is warm. :) �And my work with the kids lies in particular in the ongoing personal development and experience on the ground and in the translation into my hands.

Since 2014 I have been working 95% with special needs kids and their parents in my practices in Cologne and Hamburg as well as in projects in Denmark, Switzerland, Austria and Australia. In the process, I have seen a number of teachers and completed training courses on how to work with children. With Sylvia I have found basic structure, clarity and connections between what a child needs and how we can best proceed as well as the connections to the brain. Physiology, neurology and connections to the brain are also taught in a logical and clear way.
I call it a great opportunity to learn with Sylvia and to benefit from her experience, which she definitely has with many different clients and is especially willing to share openly and transparently.

Liebe Eltern, ein wunderbares neues Jahr 🥂💫 euch allen.
Eine neue Runde Intensives startet.
Am 15.1. kommen die ersten Student*innen klein wie groß wieder in die Praxis.
Ein größeres Intensive startet am 19.1. mit meiner Kollegin Heike Joas aus der Schweiz . Ich freue mich sehr.
Leider ausgebucht.
Aber das nächste ist in Planung 😊

NEU: Tadaaa - Mini Workshops für Eltern von special needs kids -

Ab Februar wird es eine Reihe von 3 Tages Workshops für Eltern und Interessierte geben, die mehr über die Methode erfahren möchten. Und ganz praktisch am eigenen Körper erfahren. Dabei werdet ihr selbst am Boden liegen, Lektionen lernen und ausprobieren, miteinander und auch mit euren Kindern selbst arbeiten unter professioneller Anleitung.
Ihr lernt für euch und fürs eure Kids. Ein wunderbarer effektiver Mix.
Dieses Angebot richtet sich zunächst an Klient*innen meiner Praxis in Hamburg und Köln. More to come :) . Der Flyer wird in Kürze hochgeladen.

Und darüber hinaus möchte ich auf ein spannendes Training NeuroHorizions®Experiantial Movement® meiner Kollegin und Trainerin Sylvia Leiner Shordike hinweisen.

A new round of Intensives starts.
On 15 January, the first students, big and small, will return to the practice.
A larger intensive starts on 19 January with my colleague Heike Joas from Switzerland . I'm really looking forward to it.

But the next one is being planned 😊

From February on there will be a series of 3-day workshops for parents and anyone interested in finding out more about the method. And experience it practically on your own body. You will lie on the floor, learn and try out lessons, work with each other and with your children under professional guidance.
You will learn for yourselves and for your children. A wonderfully effective mix.
This offer is initially aimed at clients of my practice in Hamburg and Cologne. More to come 🙂 . The flyer will be uploaded shortly.

Above all, I am impressed by Sylvia's profound teaching and her experiences in many ways. This training is extremely practical and teaches embodiment, structure and clarity to the students how to use neuroplasticity in the best way for special needs kids.

You can literally see and feel the neurons that fire and wire together - progress was there every moment during the training. The bridges from self-awareness, embodiment and all the content of the curriculum to the work with special needs kids made neuroplasticity visable.

Ich hatte das Privileg, an einigen Segmenten des ® Trainings teilzunehmen und freue mich, diese wunderbare, kompetente Gruppe❤️ von NeuroHorizons®-Practitoinern aus der ganzen Welt kennengelernt zu haben.
Als Feldenkrais®-Practitioner bin ich dankbar, Sylvia Shordike kennengelernt und ihre Arbeit erlebt zu haben.

Vor allem aber bin ich von Sylvias profunder Lehre und ihren Erfahrungen in vielerlei Hinsicht beeindruckt. Das Training ist extrem praktisch und vermittelt den Schülern embodiment, Struktur und Klarheit, wie Neuroplastizität am besten für Kinder mit besonderen Bedürfnissen anwendbar gemacht wird.

Man kannst buchstäblich die Neuronen miteinander feuern und connecten sehen - Fortschritte waren in jedem Moment des Trainings spürbar. Die Brücken von der Selbsterfahrung, dem Embodiment und den Inhalten des Curriculums hi zur praktischen Arbeit mit Kindern mit besonderen Bedürfnissen war immer nachvolziehbar und logisch und machten die Neuroplastizität sichtbar.

Auch ich genoss ich die Möglichkeit supervidiert zu werden, und erfuhr einen Kompetenzschub in meiner Arbeit mit Kindern mit besonderen Bedürfnissen www.feldenkrais-lauterbach.de.
