Congratulations to Michael Bourke and the entire team behind SIES for an exceptional Sydney International Endoscopy Symposium 2024. Two days of live endoscopy from Westmead showcasing cutting edge and state-of-the art techniques and technologies, with seamless organization and transmission to the Hilton Hotel Sydney, embedded in an interactive discussion of the underlying scientific evidence created an ideal learning environment for everybody who is involved and interested in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. It was a great pleasure for me to be invited as part of the international faculty together with Raf Bisschops and Roos Pouw! Thank you for giving me so many challenging cases including ESDs, ERCPs, Cholangioscopies, colonic EMR and finally a nice Zenker.. it was a wonderful experience to work and interact also with the renowned local faculty Nicklass Burgess, Alan Moss, Linda Zhang and many others. Also the quality of the speakers and lectures of the educational program was excellent. Networking events in the breathtaking area of the Sydney Harbour and the outstanding hospitality made SIES a perfect event!

My opinion: Highest quality onsite events like SIES have an irreplaceable value in medical education, scientificl exchange , personal interaction and networking on an international level - also including our esteemed partners from the biomedical industry.

It is a great pleasure to meet and work together with all of you - and evolve our field of GI endoscopy together!

A total of 4855 participants from more than 70 countries have joined our symposium.

Thank you for all the great pictures you have shared with us. With that many great pictures, there is no winner. All together, we created the big inclusive picture of the symposium.

This Thursday we go into the last round of our educational weeks.
On Thursday, February 17th, 2022 the Nutricia Post- Workshop will start at 4 p.m. with the lecutre: "Die innovative Direktpunktionsmethode" (workshop language is German).
Afterwards at 5.15 p.m. we will continue with the Post-Workshop of AOHUA with the speakers Luis Lopes and Laszlo Madacsy with the topic: First impression of a new endoscopy system – Interesting cases from upper and lower gastrointestinal tract.
