About us
“Care Sailing” is a new concept of sailing vacations with special medical services on board. This meanwhile unique business is founded by Julia Meyfarth, who is a doctor and sailor and her business partner and manager Vasileios Sekertzis.
Julia Meyfarth grew up in Germany, studied humane medicine in Marburg and finished with a medical degree. During her time at University she accomplished 10 different clinical internships in General Medicine, Neurology, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Anesthesia, Emergency Medicine and Cardiology in 10 different hospitals and 4 countries (Germany, Switzerland, Italy, France). After becoming a doctor, she moved to Switzerland to practice in St. Gallen in Neurology. Finally, she decided to fulfill her dream and live her passion: sailing. Committed to her goal she moved to Greece to sit sailing exams. Since then she has steadily increased her sailing experience with deliveries and sailing races. Her long-term yachting project is to combine both doctor and skipper experiences – the birth of “Care Sailing”. Within the next months she also plans to finish her doctor thesis as well as to work over the winter season as a psychiatrist in Switzerland.
Vasileios Sekertzis as her partner is an operations manager with broad commercial experience in FMCG sectors. Based on his personality and character, he has always found himself interested in business from a young age and that is how everything started. As the founder and owner of a trading company based in Greece, he delivers effectively on strategic and operational goals. He is MBA holder from an American College accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and Management bachelor studies. Further he is a traveler with passion in meeting people from different cultures.
Julia's and Vasileios' dedicated workforce tries their best to make sure that all customers of “Care Sailing” will be satisfied.
