Exactly one year ago, while I was visiting the unique and beautiful Joshua Tree National Park, my father passed away unexpectedly.
Since then there have been moments when I can't believe it, when it doesn't feel real, probably because we didn't spend every day together before that. Still I miss him. And right now, of course, I think a lot about this trip, which was so incredibly beautiful - and after which nothing was the same as before.

While we dance around the world, we get to know many people. Every now and then something magical happens✨
You meet a person and this person knows somebody you know as well from a different place, a different continent or different context. In those moments the world feels so small.
Have you had moments like that?
It actually happened to me twice last week in - unbelievable!

G r a t i t u d e 🙏

One year ago I had the pleasure to celebrate my birthday at the carnival in Cologne. I thought it was special because ...
1. My birthday is not always on carnival
2. We had tickets for a concert with all the bands from Cologne
3. I could celebrate with a group of friends - including my aunt who turned 70 last year (she danced from 7 until 2 o’clock in the morning).
One year later, we’ve been in a pandemic crisis for almost a year, I know that this day was special for so many more reasons.
Just a few examples: Last week I celebrated carnival almost alone at home and today I will spend my birthday working at home and being in meetings the whole day. My highlight of the day will be my class tonight at 8 p.m.( )🧘🏼‍♀️
What a contrast!
Instead of feeling sorry for what I cannot do today, I am grateful for the beautiful moments that I had. Looking at this picture makes me smile and warms my heart. ❤️
What about you? Think about a memory that make you smile and grateful. ✨

Looking back on 2020

For many 2020 was not an easy year. We had to learn that we cannot control everything, that plans won’t become true and that it cannot always go higher and faster. 2020 was a year to slow down.

Believe it or not, I am grateful for 2020! For me it was a year full of highlights and opportunities to grow!💫

JANUARY: After a difficult 2019 I changed my mindset and choose to be happy in 2020 😊

FEBRUARY: I celebrated the best Birthday Carnival Party in Cologne 🥳 - Who thought it will be the last party of the year?

MARCH: The world has sent us to our rooms, so we can think about what we had done - and I had to change my travel plans 🌍

APRIL: I started to teach online yoga classes - Some yogi*nis were not sure if a card with 8 classes isn’t too much. Who expected that I could have sold 8-month packages 🧘🏼‍♀️

MAI: Why travel far? We explore our surroundings 🚴🏼‍♀️

JUNE: Finally we can travel again - empty beaches, empty places ✈️
JULY: I enjoy the garden (office) 👩🏼‍🌾👩🏼‍💻
AUGUST: Hottest day in Germany: We chill on the rocks in Iceland - as long as the glaciers are still there 🗻

SEPTEMBER: Yoga in the park - What a pleasure to teach in person again 🤸🏼‍♀️

OKTOBER: National holiday in Berlin - just before new restrictions are announced

NOVEMBER: Vacation on the Canary Islands - with a short interruption: I bought a “piece of Frankfurt” 🏙

DECEMBER: Hosting the Xmas party for our mommies in Frankfurt 🎄- and I’m grateful for 2020💫

“Paradise isn’t a place. It’s a feeling.” ❤️
26 NOV 2019 was one of the best days in my life: I had spent one month in Mexico 🇲🇽 and one month in Nicaragua 🇳🇮
After two months in paradise I graduated from my yoga teacher training 🧘🏼‍♀️ and caught my best wave🏄🏼‍♀️. I was truly happy that day.
Take yourself back to paradise!
🌟What was the best day of your life?
🌟 What made you happy this day?
🌟 Where were you?
🌟 Who was with you?
Close your eyes and remember the feeling you had this day!

It’s been almost a year ago since I went surfing for the last time. It was a very special day: I graduated from my yoga teacher training in Nicaragua and caught the first long wave just by myself. I felt so strong and powerful that day.
Today, one year later, the water was a bit colder and the arms were weaker. However I managed to stand up!
We don’t have to catch our best wave everyday, but at least we should try to get up! ✨
