What do we mean by this statement?

Well, we all are a product of a million-year-old development, called EVOLUTION. In the beginning, we as Homo sapiens were still very much influenced by our instincts and it took a while until we developed intelligence and the thinking skills we have today.

But these instincts have not suddenly disappeared. Because everything that was characteristic of our predecessors can also be found in us. An animal's fear of danger, the instinct to reproduce, the instinct to protect oneself to avoid pain: all of this still lives within us. We just don't notice it as clearly anymore.

But below the threshold of conscious awareness, these energies still determine our lives. Only today in different forms. Advertising with erotic content is intended to activate our s*x drive. We dress neatly to avoid criticism from others. We wage wars out of fear of losing our face or to provide ourselves and our clan (our country) with enough resources.

That's why today we invite you to look at how these instincts influence your life. Are there things you do out of fear? Or to avoid something? Are you holding back your natural anger to avoid hurting another person, but in doing so you end up hurting yourself?

Are there things you avoid because of shame or guilt? Or maybe you suppress your instincts because they don't suit you as a "modern" person.

Ultimately, humanity must learn to deal with these instincts in a healthy way. With mindfulness, with humor and with a clear understanding of how these ancient energies work in us...

There is a very figurative term in the German language: 'Squinting your ass'. This term describes both muscular and energetic 'tension' around the base of the spine, at your BASE CHAKRA.

To put it simply, we could say: If you are very tense around your coccyx, the base chakra is closed. If you are relaxed in this area, your base chakra is most likely open.

So, as you read this, let's check this area of your body: How does your Base Chakra feel right now?

• Soft, open, expanded?
• Stable and clearly defined?
• Are you physically relaxed and resting in your body?
• Or does your base energy feel tight and cramped?
• Pulled up or backwards?
• Is your energy leaking, or are there clear boundaries?
• Do you feel overwhelmed or restless?

We would like to invite you to tune into the state of your body and your energy field in this area several times a day.

And if you notice, that there is actually tension there, direct your breath there. Breathe in through your nose and visualize directing the inhaled energy all the way down to your base.

If you like, you can speak to your base chakra at the same time, perhaps saying something like, 'Let go' or 'Relax'.

Do this little exercise for a few days (preferably in bed in the morning and evening) and see what happens. Because this simple exercise, carried out regularly, can help you lead a more relaxed life and rest more in your center during the day...

Have you ever asked yourself: Which Energy Center provides me with Vitality, Energy, Courage and Confidence?... It is the Base Chakra at the base of your spine, that contains the "Fires of Aliveness" and the forces of Grounding & Stability.

Children often have seemingly never-ending energy, running around all day, confident, that the world is there to be explored… and continuing next day.

Are the FIRES of YOUR base really present, or is your reservoir of energies compromised, held back, or even too much to handle? Or did your Base Chakra get “lost”?

Unfortunately, we see all too often that access to this energy reservoir in the base chakra is lost over time. Often this energy is too much for parents and they try to calm their child down, even with good intentions.

This is understandable and there are good reasons for it (e.g. if the child screams at the supermarket because he doesn't get chocolate), but shame, guilt or violence are often used to “settle” the child.

This can cause the child to cut themselves off from their own aliveness and feel like there is something wrong with them. Sentences like: “What’s wrong with you” or “If you keep this up you’ll get grounded” cause us to become “adjusted” adults. We have learned to keep our energy down and do what is asked of us or what is acceptable to society.

But there is also good news: that FIRE is still within you. And there are many different techniques to get your energy back on track.

In all cultures and religions, LIGHT is of central importance. LIGHT stands for clarity, cognition, consciousness and wisdom, the soul is described as a ball of light or a spark of light. Many texts also talk about the "light in the head", i.e. the place where we not only physically perceive and process light, but where we have the ability to visualize light.

• Now take a moment to imagine an INNER LIGHT, visualize it in the center of your head.

• Let the form of light emerge from your imagination. It can be a very bright ball of light, white or colored light, or rather a flame, a luminous sphere, or...

• Focus on this light in the center of your head for a few minutes. With your eyes closed, "look" a little inwards and slightly towards the light.

• Let your breathing gradually become deeper, calmer and finer.

• How does that feel? How do you perceive yourself? How do you perceive your surroundings? Brighter, lighter, less problematic, more hopeful?

In times like these, it is all too easy to lose one's "light". Fears, worries, anger or hopelessness then overlay our higher thinking - our access to our hopes, our passion and our trust that we have an impact in the world.

This negative thinking not only arises in us, for example through the inner critic, but this "dark cloud" also moves through the matrix, this energetic network in which we live and by which we are influenced, whether we notice it or not.

Be aware of that! Some negative energies come from outside. Your energy field absorbs them and so your light darkens. So how can you reconnect with your light? Sit in silence and focus your attention on the light within you.

Let your attention rest there. For as long as you want. Maybe just a few minutes or half an hour, effortless and relaxed. Interested in working with Awareness? In Chakra Psychology?

When you are centered, you become more present in the Here and Now. But how much ARE you present, while you are at your job or with your family? Maybe you don’t like your job and you daydream yourself away? Or you dread conversations or daily meetings, so you shy away from people? Or your family tasks overwhelm you, so everything in life is too much and you easily get frustrated, irritated or even angry?

Now think of a moment, where you met a person who was present… Maybe the women at the cashier, who exchanged some friendly words with you and gave you that charming smile, that stayed with you while carrying your purchases to the car? Or the co-worker, who instinctively felt you could use some TLC and brought you that cup of coffee just the way you like to drink it?

A person being present in the Here and Now is a GIFT. That person doesn’t waste their lifetime. Each moment is precious. They choose to rather experience every moment to the fullest, opening all their senses to take in the good energies, at the same time protecting themselves from negative energies.

Instead of avoiding life by daydreaming, by dwelling in negativity, by using diversion through TV or Social Media, they have the COURAGE, like Rumi says, to welcome every experience as a guest to their house' and BE with it.

Now choose a situation in which you want to be more PRESENT, because you and the other person involved deserve it. First breathe consciously and deeply into your BASE CHAKRA.

Then visualize a channel along your spine, the CORE CHANNEL. With your Inhale, the energy is moving up all the way to the top of your head. With your exhale it moves down to your base.

Now let the energy of clear presence stream OUT into your ENERGY FIELD, to all sides. Imagine your energy field vibrant and full and “there”. Let your eyes and your facial expression also become fully awake. How does the world feel to you right now?

And whenever you meet the other person, recreate this state before meeting and see, how your friend, family member or co-worker is responding to you.

Our energy system has a certain “anatomy”. We have different subtle energy bodies, a physical body and energetic “organs” that we call the chakras.

But one of the main parts of this human energy system is what we call the CORE CHANNEL. It is a channel of energy that runs through our body, from the top of the head (Crown Chakra) all the way down to the Base Chakra at the end of the spine.

This is what we call our CENTER. But most of the time, we don’t feel it. Every day we lose ourselves in our routines, in work, in discussions with people.

And then, resting in a moment of silence, we suddenly realize that we were basically running on "auto pilot", doing things without consciousness. But we were not ourselves! We were not listening to what our body needed or to what our various subpersonalities were saying.

Now imagine, you would instead create moments during your day, in which you center yourself back again... to make yourself feel better, to take decisions more consciously and to just create a more relaxed life…

Here is, how you can center yourself:

• TAKE A BREATH – From time to time, just stop for a moment and take a deep and conscious breath. Do it several times and imagine you are letting go of stress and tension with every breath.

• BRING YOUR ENERGIES IN – Visualize the energies vibrating around you (your energy field). And then imagine your CORE CHANNEL has a magnetic force that can pull those outside energies in. Move them while you are breathing deeply. If you can visualize this, it will happen!

• LET ENERGY FLOW – And then imagine you are moving the energies inside of your CORE CHANNEL. With your Inhale, the energy is moving up all the way to the top of your head and with your exhale it moves down to your base chakra. You can do this sitting or standing. And this is also a very good way of starting your morning meditation ;)

Our energy system has a certain anatomy. We have different subtle energy bodies, a physical body and energetic “organs” that we call the chakras.

To heal your childhood traumas, going through the pain you’re carrying inside of you and to come out on the other side as a completely new person: As that man or woman, you know you can be.
