Natasha Yoga Freiburg I teach gentle, beginner-friendly aerial yoga :) we use aerial hammock to relax, realign and strengthen the whole body.

Aerial yoga is not acrobatics - we will do yoga poses on the ground and in the air. All classes are in English, all levels are welcome.

There is a special space in the center of Freiburg for brave and curious people

I found this huge room 3 years ago and organised some hooks in the ceiling, and since then we’ve been practicing yoga here regularly, now it’s three times per week. We’ve been hanging, breathing, learning, laughing, chanting and chilling 🦥 for three years already!

This space is really quite special for Freiburg, because it’s the only place where:

• we have aerial yoga lessons in three languages! I do my best to accommodate everyone who shows up.
• we have plenty of room between the hammocks, which can make a huge difference during an aerial class. You are free to move, spin, swing, etc.
• we use equipment that was professionally tested and certified for aerial acrobatics. My hammocks can hold you, for sure!
• your comfort and safety is my priority. All the hammocks get a regular wash to stay fresh, and they are rigged with secure knots. Our the mats are disinfected after each class.
• we have a huge mirror, and everyone can see the teacher, which really helps!

I am so happy to teach aerial yoga here, especially because I feel like only the most amazing people of this town are coming to my classes 🩷 only the most curious, creative and open-minded ones decide to try this lovely practice. And I’m always honoured when you stick around!

We used to be floating weightlessly in our mothers‘ bellies. As babies, we didn’t mind being upside down. And as kids, we used to hang around in every which way, wild and fearless. The world was our playground. Remember?

Now as a grownup you can still hang, invert and float. Recreate that feeling and that freedom of movement. Don’t let gravity crash you down - let it help you grow.

I wonder

Is your mind also jumping from thing to thing all the time?

Do you keep rolling the same thought over and over and over like an old Abbey Road record?

Or is it just me? :)

Have you ever noticed how the mind is always either chasing something new, or ruminating about something old?

What do you do to keep your mind clear like sea shore rinsed by the tide?

Teaching yoga for me is very simply the most favourite thing to do ❤

I see it this way: there are so many different ways to move and breathe, so many different directions you can take your practice. And I am like your tour guide, leading you through a city of sensations toward a serene view point and a cosy resting spot. I help you discover unknown places in your own inner body, walk you through dodgy corners, give you a hand if it gets too rough. At the end you will hopefully forget about the rest of the world and be fully there, where ever you are.

This is how it works for me: moving my body, breathing, getting inverted, opening the heart area - all this work with the physical body helps me melt away things that I'm not, and stay with the essence of who I truly am.
