Treatment of Dural sheaths of the spinal nerves
Ring finger (bilateral) → between C0 & C1
Middle finger → between C1 & C2
Index finger → between C2 & C3
Contact as close as possible to the foramina intervertebralia and spinal nerves
Functional Principle
Cervical spine moves in rhythmic flexion & extension
Flexion → folding of the spinal cord (SC) and nerve pathways
Extension → unfolding of the SC and nerve pathways
Technique
The spinal cord is brought into extension in areas of increased tension
Spinal nerves are gently stabilized
Head is rotated toward the dysfunction of the spinal nerve
Emphasis on cranial tension, especially C0/C1
Clinical Focus
Direct engagement with dural sheaths of spinal nerves
Modulation of neurodynamics via segmental cervical input
Integration of somatic dysfunction and neural mobility
