🔹 Another successful semester has come to an end! 🔹

Our 4-day IVRT training to become a vestibular rehabilitation therapy specialist was successfully conducted in just 4 months across 6 countries, 19 cities, and with over 300 participants from all over Europe.

We’re excited about our upcoming courses — especially the advanced courses with Andrea Castellucci (BPPV) and David Herdman (PPPD).

💙 This will be our last social media post of the year. We wish all our colleagues relaxing holidays and a healthy, successful new year! We also hope that in the coming year we can continue to move the field of vestibular medicine forward, in science as well as in education and especially in treatment.

Vestibular medicine is still a field that unfortunately receives too little attention and remains in its early stages, even though care for those affected urgently needs to improve.

Another very productive week at IVRT! 🚀

🔬 In Maastricht

Firat visited Ali, Prof. van de Berg, and his research team in Maastricht to discuss the next steps of his PhD studies. 🤩

Afterwards, Firat and Tim taught 30 highly motivated colleagues in Cologne! ❤️💪

At the same time, Jacqueline and Simon taught 20 motivated colleagues in Heidelberg! ❤️💪

Letzte Woche durften wir in Osnabrück bei unterrichten. Die Gruppe war in mehrfacher Hinsicht besonders: Alle Teilnehmenden haben sich der Prüfung gestellt und alle haben bestanden! 💪🤩

Und als wäre das nicht schon stark genug: 15 von 20 haben mit gut oder sehr gut abgeschlossen. Ein unglaublich guter Notendurchschnitt! 👏 👏 👏

Für uns eindeutig eine der stärksten Kohorten dieses Jahres – eine Gruppe voller Energie, Fokus und mit richtig viel Potenzial für die Praxis! 🙌 🙌 🙌

Außerdem hat Gerrit seine Dozentenausbildung gestartet. Wir freuen uns sehr, ihn im Team zu haben und ihn auf diesem Weg zu begleiten. 🤝

Last week we had the pleasure of teaching in Osnabrück. The group was exceptional in several ways: all participants took the exam – and everyone passed! 💪🤩

And as if that weren’t impressive enough: 15 out of 20 finished with good or very good marks. An incredibly strong average grade! 👏👏👏

For us, clearly one of the strongest cohorts of the year – a group full of energy, focus, and tremendous potential for practical work! 🙌🙌🙌

In addition, Gerrit has started his instructor training. We’re very happy to have him on the team and to support him on this journey. 🤝

✨ Ein Blick zurück auf die letzte Woche beim IVRT

Vergangene Woche durften wir gleich mehrere Schritte feiern, die uns als Team weiterbringen:

📍 Refresherkurs in Wien

Der Kurs war komplett ausgebucht und bot Raum für Austausch, Vertiefung & praxisorientierte Diskussionen. Es war spürbar, wie viel Erfahrung und Neugier im Raum war. Davon profitieren letztlich alle Patient:innen und Therapeut:innen.

– Moritz hat in Wien seine erste eigene Kohorte erfolgreich zertifiziert .at
– Lisa hat in Hannover ihre erste Kohorte erfolgreich zertifiziert

Beide haben mit fachlicher Sorgfalt, Ruhe & klarer Struktur ihre Gruppen zum Ziel geführt! 🎯🏆

Ein schöner Moment für uns und ein wertvoller Beitrag für das wachsende IVRT-Netzwerk! 🤝

✨ A look back at last week at IVRT
Last week we were able to celebrate several steps that moved us forward as a team:

📍 Refresher Course in Vienna

The course was fully booked and provided space for exchange, deepening of knowledge, & practice-oriented discussions. The amount of experience and curiosity in the room was truly noticeable. In the end, this benefits all patients and therapists alike.

– Moritz successfully certified his first own cohort in Vienna
– Lisa successfully certified her first cohort in Hanover

Both guided their groups to success with professional care, calmness, & clear structure! 🎯🏆

A wonderful moment for us – and a valuable contribution to the growing IVRT network! 🤝

Especially for the participants, who can now support patients with dizziness as certified IVRT therapists.

Der Kurs in Köln war diesmal etwas ganz Besonderes.

Aufgrund der außergewöhnlich langen Warteliste – über zehn Kolleginnen und Kollegen standen auf der Warteliste – wollten wir ungern so viele Interessierte ablehnen. Daher haben wir kurzerhand entschieden, die Teilnehmergrenze zu erhöhen und mit drei Dozierenden zu unterrichten!

Für uns – Jacqueline, Tim und Firat – war es zugleich das erste gemeinsame Debüt als dreiköpfiges Dozententeam beim IVRT.

Diese intensive Betreuung ist nicht nur den Teilnehmenden zugutekommen, sondern hat auch uns als Team begeistert: mit spannenden Diskussionen, praxisnahen Fallbeispielen und viel Dynamik im fachlichen Austausch.

Ein herzliches Dankeschön an alle Teilnehmenden für das Vertrauen, das Interesse und die aktive Mitarbeit – sowie an unseren Kooperationspartner .plesch für die hervorragende Organisation und Zusammenarbeit.

This course in Cologne was something truly special.

Due to an exceptionally long waiting list – with more than ten colleagues eager to join – we didn’t want to turn so many motivated participants away. So, we decided to expand the participant limit and teach with three instructors!

For us – Jacqueline, Tim, and Firat – it was also our first joint debut as a three-member teaching team at IVRT.

This more intensive format not only benefited the participants but also inspired us as a team: with engaging discussions, practical case examples, and a lot of energy in the professional exchange.

A heartfelt thank-you to all participants for your trust, curiosity, and active involvement – and our collaboration partner 'Fortbildungsakademie Plesch' for the excellent organization and teamwork.

IVRT auf dem HNO-Kongress 2025 in Mannheim

Jacqueline und Anja haben das IVRT auf dem diesjährigen HNO-Kongress in Mannheim vertreten. 🤩

Ihr Ziel war es, die vestibuläre Rehabilitation stärker bekannt zu machen und den interdisziplinären Austausch zu fördern! 💪

Besonders spannend war der fachliche Dialog mit

• Ärzt*innen
• Vertreter*innen der Medizintechnik
• Kontakte und Informationen für Morbus Menière (KIMM e.V.)
• der Vereinigung Akustikus Neurinom (VAN e.V.)

Neben intensiven Gesprächen bot der Kongress die Möglichkeit, neue medizintechnische Ansätze und Geräte zu testen und deren Anwendung in der vestibulären Rehabilitation zu diskutieren.

Der persönliche Austausch und die vielfältigen Perspektiven lieferten wertvolle Impulse für die Weiterentwicklung diagnostischer und therapeutischer Verfahren.

Ein herzlicher Dank gilt den Organisator*innen und allen Beteiligten für die inspirierende Atmosphäre und den offenen wissenschaftlichen Dialog. 🙏

IVRT at the ENT Congress 2025 in Mannheim

Jacqueline and Anja represented the IVRT at this year's ENT Congress in Mannheim. 🤩

Their goal: to raise awareness of vestibular rehabilitation and to promote interdisciplinary exchange! 💪

A particular highlight was the professional dialogue with:

• medical professionals
• representatives from medtech
• Kontakte und Informationen für Morbus Menière (KIMM e.V.)
• the Vereinigung Akustikus Neurinom (VAN e.V.)

In addition to in-depth conversations, the congress offered the opportunity to test new medical devices and discuss their application in vestibular rehabilitation.

The personal exchange and diverse perspectives provided valuable input for the further development of diagnostic and therapeutic approaches.

House of Hearing er et landsdækkende rådgivningscenter for folk med høreproblemer og/eller øresygdomme, der tilbyder gratis rådgivningsaftener og telefonrådgivning.

Was für ein Monat beim IVRT: In den letzten Wochen haben wir beim IVRT große Schritte gemacht – als Team und als Institut. 🤩

Linda und Lisa unterrichten mittlerweile komplett eigenständig und zeigen dabei, mit wie viel Kompetenz, Herz und Engagement sie ihre Teilnehmenden begleiten. ❤️

Moritz hat unter Supervision mit dem Unterrichten begonnen – ein weiterer Schritt auf seinem Weg als zukünftiger Dozent. 💪

Simon hat seine Ausbildung zum Dozenten begonnen und bringt damit die nächste Generation an IVRT-Dozenten auf den Weg.💪

Und ein weiterer : Unser erster Kurs für Ärzt:innen in Deutschland wurde offiziell akkreditiert. Ein wichtiger Schritt, der zeigt, dass sich Qualität, Leidenschaft und stetige Weiterentwicklung auszahlen. 🎓

Wir sind unglaublich stolz auf das, was wir gemeinsam erreicht haben – und noch gespannter auf alles, was kommt. 🚀

What a month at the IVRT: Over the past few weeks, we’ve made huge strides at the IVRT – as a team and as an institute. 🤩

Linda and Lisa are now teaching completely independently, showing how much competence, heart, and dedication they bring to guiding their participants. ❤️

Moritz has started teaching under supervision – another important step on his path to becoming a future instructor. 💪

Simon has begun his instructor training, paving the way for the next generation of IVRT teachers. 💪

And another : our first course for physicians in Germany has been officially accredited. A major step that shows how quality, passion, and continuous development truly pay off. 🎓
