Make a decision- I drew this card the other day and it made me ponder over its depth and importance. We often feel stuck in life or things don’t go as envisioned because we don’t make a conscious mental decision. Decide what you want, decide what’s the next step, decide who you want to be in the world. You are one decision away. Once that is made with certainty and faith, the rest follows- it’s the universal law.

Ask yourself every morning: Who am I choosing to be today?

A thread on what trauma actually means and how breathwork can be a healing tool 🕊

Unhealed trauma usually manifests in depression, coldness, anxiety, numbness, insecurities, frequent breakups, lack of motivation, confusion, self-doubt, frequent stress, addictions and so many other forms.

*I do want to add that breathwork is not for evervone- there are contraindications that you need to be aware of prior to practicing therapeutic breathwork. Professional guides will always inform you of those!

Abundance versus scarcity mindset

While my mind wanted to see the experience that I shared in my previous post as chaotic, hard, and something that shouldn’t happen or isn’t right, my heart new this is an opening. This is birthing a new version of me.

Could I have believed the scarce part of my mind? Yes, that would’ve been quite easy but I chose not to.

Instead I fed the other part of my mind which is rooted in love and abundance. I decided that what had happened happened and without judging it I can move it through and chose an empowering lesson from it.

When we operate form scarcity we operate from lack and a ‘poor little me’ mentality. We all do or have done this in our lives, in fact for many it happens quite autonomically and unconscious.

Operating from an abundance mindset means that we know we are enough, do enough, and have enough at any given moment.

A scarce mind would say: ‘why the f**k did this happen to me? How dare this person did this to me? I will never forgive this person because it’s his/her fault that I carry that trauma with me!’

An abundant mind would say: ‘what happened happened and I take it as my responsibility to heal that part of me. In each pain are our hidden greatest gifts (if we choose to heal these parts). What can I learn from this situation to further grow?’

Choose to cultivate an abundance mindset and see how your reality will match that same vibration 🤍

the journey is the destination 🤎

A few years back when I was still living in new york a dear friend reminded me of this.

I was all caught up with being so busy, I never felt like I had time to breathe.

Everything felt hard and exhausting. I was running from a to b, doing a million things without ever feeling I did enough.

I was in a complete tunnel vision not realizing how much I missed the sweet spot of the present moment constantly.

I thought once I’m “there”, I will be happy. Constantly moved the “there” to a higher bar. Never reaching the feeling

It was an endless chase combined with a lot of anxiety and frustration.

So one day my dear friend would come up to me and tell me “love, it’s the journey that’s meant to be enjoyed not just the destination. The journey really is the destination”

My eyes widened. Uff… a moment of silence while my mind was busy reflecting how little I was actually enjoying my life and how much I was focused on my future destination that I forgot about the only reality there ever is and always will be- the now!

I don’t want this for you. Being busy, just getting by and feeling mostly stressed. It’s not how we are meant to spend our lives.

Change your breath and remove stress…

Your breath is connected to your nervous system.

Every time you feel stressed and anxious you move into your sympathetic nervous system which causes your body to use a tremendous amount of energy.

In that state you can’t relax, each thought about work or other personal things freak you out, you literally have no capacity to feel happy, joyful or creative, you compare yourself to others and lash out..

It goes down a whole spiral.

In this state of being your breath becomes very shallow and short.

Many people tend to overbreathe causing even more cortisol (aka stress hormones) to be released in your body.

This enhances even more the stressful feeling.

And guess what, you can’t think greater than how you feel so the feelings will evoke even more stress thoughts.

Can you see how it’s all connected?

So if the breath is connected to the nervous system and controls it we can in fact use it to manipulate the state we are in - stress or relaxed

So what if you learned to regulate that?

What if next time you feel completely out of control you started using your breath in a very specific way it would soothe your nervous and help you feel grounded again?

What if you actually started using your breath as a tool to boost creativity levels, get you energy when needed and bring mental clarity?

I would never feel comfortable around women…

There was a time in my life where every time I would be surrounded by other women a few things popped up

Comparison
Competition
Judgment
Jealousy
Shame

Thoughts like “ugh I wish I could look like her” or my mind would jump to hard words of judgment towards other women I didn’t even know.

That was my reality for a long time..

Back then I had no idea it was a reflection of my inner insecurities and my lack of connection to my self and source.

These thoughts and feelings were an extension of my ego believing that ‘I’m less than’.

Throughout the years I’ve moved through a lot of these layers, I’ve learned to let down my guard in front of others, I’ve realized that at the core we are all the same having a human experience 🙏🏽

Surrounding myself with more and more women is so inspiring to me now. I love seeing others expressing their fullness. It helped me see my biggest triggers and transmute some of my deepest feelings of not enoughness, shame, and jealousy. These parts are also human and very much a reality for all of us- knowingly or unkowingly

So I created this container for us women to come together. To share. To dream. To listen. To be raw. To be safe. To connect. To support. To love. To be heard and held. To blossom. To cry. To laugh. All of it 🕊
