3 athletes in the 90s and a great average score. 👌

Life is duality - and last week was a great example of it. We had one of the best and one of the worst group averages of the season. But as in life, you need to accept it, deal with it & (hopefully) learn from it. 😏🙂

Simon almost got a perfect rating and Paul & Alan have been doing well lately!👏

Congrats to all athletes & keep up the great work! 👏🏀🏋‍♂️🏋‍♀️

While chronic high blood pressure is known to be a common issue - it is NOT normal to have it! No matter the age.

2 quick facts:

1. It should always be measured on BOTH SIDES!
2. You can easily influence & deal with it through lifestyle changes & specific exercises!

💡Blood pressure regulation has a strong neurologic component to it & therefore can be influenced by specific exerises targeting the respective brain areas. Especially when there is a difference between right side & left side.

In terms of physical exercises, movement in general has a positive impact on blood pressure.

However, isometric strength training has been shown to be most effective - both short & long term.
Grip strength exercises & isometric leg exercises (such as wall sits) have shown the best results.

☝️2 important factors:

1. Duration (4x 2mins)
2. Consistency (3x/week)

If the appropriate exercises are done on a regular basis & are combined with individually specific drills for breathing etc., blood pressure can be significantly reduced over a 4-week period.
