Lisa offers Mindfulness-based, integrative health & wellness treatments such as Craniosacral Therapy, Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, Myofascial Release, and Massage. I am a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) in British Columbia, Canada. I now offer Holistic Bodywork treatments here in Berlin. I received my diploma from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy, that is home to one of the world’s most advanced and comprehensive training programs in therapeutic massage. I have eighteen years of experience in clinical practice and have worked in integrative health clinics alongside chiropractors, naturopathic physicians, acupuncturists, physiotherapists, kinesiologists, and personal trainers, as well as in my own private practice. My native language is English, and I speak German well. My treatments are adapted to your needs, and in addition to Mindfulness-based manual therapy, can involve comprehensive assessment, education, recommendations for self-care activities, and remedial exercises, to enhance your overall wellbeing. I provide treatments that support and vitalize your body’s own healing, rebalancing, mechanisms. I utilize techniques from Craniosacral Therapy, Myofascial Release, Classical Massage, Trigger Point Release, and Muscle Energy Technique, just to name a few. Through the application of this broad spectrum of techniques we discover and address the deeper, often underlying, mechanisms that lead to symptoms of imbalance.

"My massage approach is therapeutic. To me, that means to listen carefully and to work deep in order to support your body’s own healing abilities. I can offer 30 minute, 1 hour and 1.5 hour sessions, always working intuitively, making use of the various body work techniques I have acquired over the years.

In 2008 I studied Oriental Medicine & Shiatsu at the Ki Kai School in London under Chris Osbourne. By 2010, I completed my ITEC in Massage, Anatomy & Physiology as well as Level 3 in Western Illnesses & Conditions at Beaumont Natural Medicine College in Wells, UK. The same year I quit my job to become a full-time massage therapist.

Over the next 10 years I collected more skills and knowledge through hands-on experience and add-on courses and workshops. I have been working with athletes, office dwellers, autistic children and seniors in London, Barcelona, Berlin and Lisbon. I am also a fully qualified physiotherapeutic Fitness Trainer and Pilates Teacher.

In my sessions I combine classic Swedish massage techniques to bring to your body and soul profound relaxation and peace with more targeted methods designed to release chronic pain, muscle and nerve tension due to accumulated stress, (sports) injuries, incorrect posture or overuse. Deep sustained pressure will be applied to target the inner layers of your muscles and connective tissue.

I also like to bring in a little Shiatsu, typically at the beginning / end of the treatment. Shiatsu harmonises your physical body and emotional mind by releasing blocked energy in the 12 meridians, each connected with 2 of the human organs. Shiatsu feels and listens into the body through acupressure, rotations, stretches and bends."

The classes and workshops can stand alone as a way for you to ‘receive’ bodywork, or if you have already been receiving treatments, they offer a potent way for you to maintain the benefits of hands-on treatments between appointments. Each class or workshop will have a focused theme, which I will share in advance via Instagram and Facebook

These gentle and effective practices most often leave me feeling embodied, in-tune, calm and spacious. I wonder how your experiences will unfold?
