Next stop: The Caya Diaphragm in Benin.
We were not only able to launch the Caya Diaphragm in Morocco, Nigeria and Niger but also to educate and inform about it with the support of local non-profit organizations. This will soon be followed by the West African country of Benin, one of the poorest countries in the world, where over a third of the population lives below the poverty line.
We are looking forward to the training sessions on site, the joint work and everything that we can learn from them. Of course we know that educating local people about hormone-free contraceptives and contraception in general will not solve all problems. But we think and hope that this too is one of many small steps that can make a difference.

How do I insert the Caya correctly? 🤔
Because we get this question from time to time, today we will go into one of the first steps in more detail, namely folding and what else belongs to it:
On the picture you can see the arrow on the back rail. It shows you the direction in which the Caya will be inserted. The arrow must point to your body when you insert the Caya. 👉 💁
In order for the Caya to fold properly, hold it on the left and right side of the grip dimples and simply press it together. The Caya Gel will then enter the two recesses automatically. And before anyone asks: Yes, the gel must always be added. ☝️ One needs more, the other takes less, you can orientate yourself roughly by a teaspoon full.
And here's a tip: Some of our users also add a little gel to the edge on the side opposite the arrow. This will make it easier to insert the gel through better gliding.
