For nearly two years, Ossa, an 11-year-old Husky, suffered from chronic back pain and stiffness. When conservative therapy failed, MRI confirmed disc degeneration at L7–S1.

To restore comfort and mobility, Prof. Dr. med. vet. Frank Steffen performed lumbosacral stabilization using the new LeiPED Pedicle Screw System, helping to stabilize painful motion at the L7–S1 junction.

✅ Result: Ossa is back to her happy, mobile self.

After an accident caused intermittent seizures in Loki, a 1.5 year old German Pinscher, CBCT imaging at Tierklinik Altheim revealed an open fontanelle with an exostosis. This was creating dangerous pressure inside his cranial cavity.

To treat this, Dr. Simon Hebenstreit and Dr. Walter Hebenstreit performed a surgical removal and reconstruction. They chose 𝗟𝗲𝗶𝗠𝗘𝗦𝗛 to provide a stable, permanent closure for both the surgical defect and the fontanelle.

✅ Loki’s recovery has been remarkable. His owners describe him as a “completely different dog” now that he is seizure free.

What a fantastic 3D HIP Workshop we had in Utrecht, Netherlands (28.–29. NOV 2025)!
The course was fully booked, and the atmosphere was amazing from start to finish. It was great to welcome vets from around the world, all coming together to deepen their knowledge and gain hands-on experience with the 3D HIP technique.
