“What tape do you trust most?”
“How do you recover skin after long crack sessions?”
“What’s your go-to trick before hard burns?”
At the 2026 Crack Fest , Pitti had plenty of questions for and from the and honestly, we could’ve talked for hours.
When it comes to climbing performance, especially in crack climbing, skin is everything. Recovery, friction, durability, drying agents, tactics… all of it matters.
One topic that came up was drying agents like Antihydral, which Tom has used for years.
But what many climbers don’t realize is that products like this can release formaldehyde under certain conditions. They were originally designed for medical applications — which is why more and more climbers are questioning regular long-term use outside of that setting.
That’s exactly why we believe there should be alternatives.
At the moment, our Performance Chalk with Upsalite is built to keep hands dry for longer, reduce re-chalking, and deliver reliable performance — without formaldehyde-releasing ingredients.
Because performance isn’t just about climbing harder.
It’s also about taking care of the skin that makes it possible.
Big thanks to Tom & Pete for the sessions, the knowledge, and the endless crack suffering. 🤝
