Secure data and patient safety with 4kV decoupling of the RJ45 and RS232 interfaces in the Medical Grade ACL OR-PC®:

🔵 3x RJ45 as standard, including 1x 2.5 Gb LAN and 1x 4 kV decoupled
The 2.5-Gb-LAN enables fast and reliable data trans¬mission for real-time imaging and all clinical decision support tasks. Due to the large amounts of data flowing through the clinical workflow, speed is critical to avoid bottlenecks.

🔵 1x RS232 as standard, optionally up to 4x RS232 and each optionally 4kV decoupled
The RS232 interfaces ensure compa¬tibility with legacy devices, which is important to fully utilize the hospital infrastructure, support device inte¬gration and extend the life of older devices.

👉 Why is the 4kV decoupling of the RJ45 and RS232 interfaces so important?
Decoupled interfaces can transmit signals without an electrical connection, so that fault currents are confined to a single device. The 4 kV decoupling thus ensures the safety of users and operating personnel even in the event of high-voltage faults in the vicinity of the devices. This is important for devices that are connected to patients and where electrical safety is of crucial importance. It also pro¬tects sensitive internal components from voltage fluc¬tuations or faults, reducing the risk of failure. 4kV decoupling is distinct from simple 1.5kV decoupling and is necessary for the patient environment.

🎉Congratulations to our ACL apprentices on their successful results! We are proud of you and wish everyone a great start to the new apprenticeship year, filled with many learning opportunities.

On August 1st, Janko Voigt and Lennart Schmidt began their fourth and final year of apprenticeship as electronic technician for devices and systems, during which both will complete their theoretical and practical final exams. Raiko Ebert and Constantin Müller started their apprenticeship in 2024 and are now entering their second year of training.

: Eike has been working in the final assembly team at our German production site in Markkleeberg since 2013.

💡 What are the tasks in the final assembly?
All high-quality electronic components and cables for all ACL products are prepared and assembled in our production facilities in Germany in accordance with the assembly instructions and in compliance with the relevant regulations. The parts are manufactured and assembled in a clean room and an ESD environment to create the finished ACL devices. Each device undergoes final testing for functionality.

💡 What does Eike enjoy about her job?
Eike says that whether you're young or old, it's important to enjoy your work and to be open to new things. She also likes the variety in her job, such as working with a soldering iron.

ACL OR-PC® with non-reflective and brilliant PCAP multi-touchscreen for operation with gloves

The displays of the new OR-PC® generation set new standards in image quality and functionality. Equipped with high-resolution TFT-IPS panels and bright LED backlighting, the displays offer brilliant and true-color reproduction even from lateral viewing angles, high image sharpness and minimal reflections even in difficult lighting conditions.

The bonding technology increases the mechanical stability and improves the touch performance. The optional PCAP touchscreens (10-point) can be operated intuitively even with gloves, supporting smooth operation in the operating room or intensive care unit. The easy-to-clean surface reduces the risk of operating errors and ensures greater hygiene and fewer mistakes.

Illuminated capacitive touch sensors behind the glass panel enable direct access to important functions, further increasing efficiency in day-to-day clinical work and enabling operation - even in the dark. A separate option for switching off the background lighting avoids disturbing patients at night, extends the service life of the devices and protects the environment. There is also a button for cleaning mode to deactivate the touch function while cleaning the device. It is also possible to call up the on-screen keyboard as a hotkey.

The ACL team took part in the in yesterday, where more than 20,000 participants started in the best sunshine and with a lot of fun.

We are very proud of all ACL participants for running the 5 km for our company and would like to thank everyone for their participation! The fastest runners for ACL were Francesco Petterlin (intern) with 20:50 min, Andy Herzigkeit (Head of Production) with 21.24 min and Steve Seidewitz (Sales Manager) with 24.09 min - congratulations!

We are already looking forward to the company run next year!

ACL OR-CONSOLE® with customized logo printing has been successfully installed in 10 operating rooms at the Kazakh Institute of Oncology and Radiology in Almaty, that provides a multidisciplinary approach to cancer treatment, education and training. The OR-CONSOLE® is equipped with we**am, barcode scanner, RFID reader and DICOM.

We are celebrating 30 years of ACL OR-PC® - the exciting journey of our unique core product. From the beginning of the first OR-PC® for the University Hospital Leipzig to the future, this anniversary is a valuable opportunity for us to look back on our history and give you an insight into the development and vertical integration of the ACL OR-PC® in our factories in Germany. Our new OR-PC® series, which we present in the new booklet, is our answer to the current trends and requirements from all clinical areas of application for medical all-in-one PCs.

The famous - one of the biggest international classical music festivals – began yesterday in , ACL's hometown.

As a long-standing sponsor, ACL presented the “No 1 Opening Concert” in St. Thomas Church on Thursday, June 12th, performed by excellent artists such as Johannes Lang, Elisabeth Breuer, Gunta Smirnova, Alex Potter, Benedikt Kristjánsson, Manuel Walser and the famous Thomanerchor Leipzig as well as the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig with conductor Andreas Reize.

We are looking forward to further outstanding concerts with the music of J. S. Bach and more. We wish a great festival for the next 10 days.
