🔵 3x RJ45 as standard, including 1x 2.5 Gb LAN and 1x 4 kV decoupled
The 2.5-Gb-LAN enables fast and reliable data trans¬mission for real-time imaging and all clinical decision support tasks. Due to the large amounts of data flowing through the clinical workflow, speed is critical to avoid bottlenecks.
🔵 1x RS232 as standard, optionally up to 4x RS232 and each optionally 4kV decoupled
The RS232 interfaces ensure compa¬tibility with legacy devices, which is important to fully utilize the hospital infrastructure, support device inte¬gration and extend the life of older devices.
👉 Why is the 4kV decoupling of the RJ45 and RS232 interfaces so important?
Decoupled interfaces can transmit signals without an electrical connection, so that fault currents are confined to a single device. The 4 kV decoupling thus ensures the safety of users and operating personnel even in the event of high-voltage faults in the vicinity of the devices. This is important for devices that are connected to patients and where electrical safety is of crucial importance. It also pro¬tects sensitive internal components from voltage fluc¬tuations or faults, reducing the risk of failure. 4kV decoupling is distinct from simple 1.5kV decoupling and is necessary for the patient environment.
