I was told this was something I would have to manage for life.

15 years ago, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s.

At the time, I did what many women do:
I kept going.
I pushed through.
I ignored the signals.

But deep down, I knew:
I didn’t want to accept that this was “just my new normal.”

So I started doing the work.
I changed my nutrition.
I changed my routines.
I changed the way I lived.

Not perfectly.
But consistently.

Today, 15 years later, I am symptom-free, full of energy, and honestly healthier than I was back then.

This year I turned 60—and trust me, I didn’t always look or feel the way I do today.
It didn’t happen by accident. It’s the result of years of showing up, saying no when I needed to, and—most of all—mindset.

It’s not only about the body.
It’s how we live, how we speak to ourselves, how we choose—every single day.
The same responsibility we give to work, kids, and family… we must give to ourselves.

I’m proud of the progress I see—yes, even at what many call a “certain age.”
And to anyone saying “just wait until…”—no.
Build muscle now. Protect your energy now. Care for your hormones, your skin, your metabolism—now. The later we start, the harder it gets.

Here’s the deeper truth:
It’s not what you do once in a while that changes you.
It’s the small, repeatable choices—on the days no one claps, when it’s not glamorous, when you don’t feel like it. That’s where transformation lives.

Redefining what it means to age.

Last week, during a small networking circle, a woman said something that stayed with me:

👉 “I want to be your kind of 60.”

At first, I didn’t understand what she meant.
Then she added:
“Most people nearing 60 are afraid of change.
They don’t try new things. They cling to their routines…
And they give up. I don’t want to end up like that.”

💬 And honestly? I was touched.
Because I see it all the time.
The quiet resignation.
The silent shrinking back.
The “too late for me” stories.

But if we don’t show up for ourselves,
if we don’t say yes to life,
we’ll just be girls in our 60s—watching it all pass by.

No matter what age is printed on our ID.

So here’s a message for the woman who feels stuck,

Did you know your body can heal itself when you give it a break from food? 🧬✨

When the body enters a fasting state, it begins a powerful self-cleaning process called autophagy—removing damaged, aging, and even cancerous cells. Think of it like internal recycling. ♻️

Autophagy is actually recognized as one of the 12 hallmarks of aging—a key process for staying youthful, healthy, and preventing chronic diseases.

It triggers the production of special proteins that break down sick cells and restore balance—helping to fight aging, diabetes, and even reduce the risk of neurodegenerative diseases.

But here’s the key:
Autophagy only activates under specific conditions—like intermittent fasting. A fasting window of 16 hours (the 16:8 method) has been shown to be most effective in triggering this repair mode.

During this time, you continue functioning normally—no extreme dieting, just giving your body time to reset.

There’s a quiet intelligence within your body — a wisdom that has been with you since the very beginning.
Your cells talk to each other. Constantly. Guiding healing. Managing stress. Rebuilding.
And yet, as we grow older, that inner conversation begins to fade. Not because the body forgets — but because it runs low on the tiny messengers that keep everything connected.

They’re called redox signaling molecules.

Recent research from Johns Hopkins suggests that levothyroxine, a common thyroid medication, may contribute to bone loss over time. Even with normal TSH levels, studies show that those taking it experience greater reductions in bone density, increasing the risk of osteoporosis.

From my experience working with clients, I’ve seen that women over 40 are especially affected by thyroid underfunction and hashimoto.And this is the age when bone health becomes critical—especially during menopause.

Now, I’m not saying you should stop your medication! But I do believe in supporting the body naturally. I reversed my Hashimoto’s without medication by focusing on the fundamentals:

✅ Nutrient-rich food
✅ Stress management
✅ Targeted supplements

Your health is in your hands. No matter your age, you can improve your well-being with the right approach.
