Daily practice, one breath at a time. Increasing the awareness, connectivity and freedom in body and mind. Removing obstacles, distractions and confusion and turning them into deeper understanding and clearer articulation within and out.

is a very deep twist and a deep release to the hip rotators and lower back in the advancedseries A. Most of us need to go slowly with this one and truly respect the limitations of our body as we gently make our way deeper to the fuller expression of the asana. In rare occasion, I’ve encountered a practitioner who just settles right into the stitih the first time they try this asana, but if you’re anything like me, it took me months to get to settle in a comfortable and steady posture.
I played a little with the entry and exit vinyasa today on my mat. Just because I asked the question if I could again. It is not by any means essential to lift up into a handstand. The playful spirit in me loves a challenge. While the timid would like to shy away. So I’ll give them both what they need. Joy and support.

Don’t miss out on the chance to practice with me this coming June in Europe! Registration is open with a weekend workshop in Copenhagen, for a beautiful retreat in South France and a workshop week with my old home shala in Munich.

Freedom and ease in movement and staying still. I got a longer question on how easy it is to access or stay in padmasana, for example.
It’s not possible to pick a part one position for a body separate from the whole. Everything connects. Body and mind. The ease, calm and control emerge from all parts coming together with no limitation for a given task. Whenever facing a new frontier of curiosity or wishes to maintain an unusual foothold one needs to be prepared for some further learning and repeated effort.
And where we all start from is an individual questions. Just as where we wish to go and stay with is.
