Why advanced diagnostics matter in prostate cancer

Early and accurate detection makes the difference between uncertainty and a clear treatment plan. At VITUS Privatklinik, we go beyond outdated methods to provide the most precise diagnostics available today:

Prostate MRI: 94–95% sensitivity for clinically relevant carcinomas, 93–97% confidence to exclude cancer if MRI is clear.

3D Mapping Biopsy: 80–100% accuracy, mapping every cancer focus in the prostate in three dimensions, essential for focal therapy.

PSMA PET/CT (Gallium68): Modern, functional nuclear medicine imaging that directly detects prostate cancer metastases and replaces outdated CT and bone scintigraphy.

Traditional biopsies achieve only 30–35% accuracy. With advanced diagnostics, we achieve early detection, fewer unnecessary procedures, and highly personalized treatment planning, while protecting quality of life.
