Das Designstudio aroma:id in Offenbach am Main wirkt seit 1999 in der Designentwicklung von Konsum- und Investitionsgütern. Zu den Auftraggebern des Designteams unter der Leitung von Karsten Küber zählen unter anderem Procter&Gamble, die Deutsche Bahn AG und WMF. Im Mittelpunkt der Arbeit von aroma:id steht die Aufmerksamkeit für beste Designqualität in einem schnellen, effizienten und transparenten Designprozess.

„Design ist unser Handwerk“ Im Industriedesign bietet aroma:id alle Leistungsmodule von der Ideenfindung bis zur Datenübergabe, in Design-Lab-Projekten betreut und entwickelt aroma:id innovative und visionäre Konzepte und Show-Cars für Partner wie etwa P&G oder Lufthansa.

„Ein Projekt dauert einen Tag - jeder Tag ist ein Projekt.“ Dieses Leitmotiv steht für die besondere Arbeitsweise des Designstudios aroma:id. Unsere Methodik sichert Effizienz und Planungssicherheit bei höchster Qualität im Designprozess.

Start Your Journey with Us  Internship Opportunity – Industrial Design (m/f/d)  For the upcoming summer semester, we are offering an Industrial Design Internship for a duration of 4–6 months, starting April 2026. As an intern at aroma:id, you will work on a wide range of projects within our design team. You’ll have the opportunity to apply and deepen your skills in design research, concept development and product design, while gaining valuable hands-on experience in a professional studio environment.  Your Profile:  • Experience with Rhino, SolidWorks, KeyShot or Blender is desirable • Confident use of Adobe Creative Cloud • Advanced understanding of generative AI-based design tools such as Midjourney, Nano Banana, or Vizcom • Curiosity about technologies like 3D printing • A strong sense for trends in product design, with a solid understanding of form, color and precision • Preliminary knowledge in working with CGI is beneficial.  What We Offer:  • Hands-on involvement in professional design projects • Close collaboration with an experienced design team • Space for creative ideas and new approaches • Diverse and exciting projects for national and international clients • Fair and reasonable compensation   You can send your CV, your portfolio and a short message explaining why you would like to be part of our team to career@aroma-id.de. Applications are welcome in German or English.  If you have any questions, feel free to contact us - we are looking forward to hearing from you.

“As a designer at aroma:id I focus on graphics, sketches, User Experience and Ul. I enjoy shaping ideas visually and making concepts tangible for our partners. What I value most about aroma:id is the culture. Every role here is seen as equally important, just like our clients and the projects we bring to life, no matter if they are small or large. That balance and respect make working here truly rewarding.

“As an industrial designer at aroma:id I work on everything from design development to 3D renderings and animations. I am also exploring how Al can enhance our creative process, and I enjoy organizing events that bring fresh energy into our studio.

But what I really value about coming to aroma:id every day is the team. It feels almost like a little family, and we truly work together as one team. On top of that every project is completely different, which means we get to dive into new topics, collaborate with a wide range of companies and, most importantly, get to know the people behind them. That variety keeps my work exciting.

I am also passionate about urban mobility and e-bikes, and in my free time you will probably find me in theme parks or riding roller coasters.🎢 ”

Originally created for snacks, but also perfect fit for ice cream.
 This stainless steel bowl was developed in 2005 together with Auerhahn as an elegant solution for serving small bites. With its precise silhouette and brushed finish, it reflects the clarity and longevity we strive for in our design work.
Today, it is one of our aroma:id classics. We still love it. And we still use it. 🍦

Under the motto Design for Democracy, the World Design Capital Frankfurt RheinMain 2026 is hosting a wide range of events. One regular highlight is the monthly meetup in and around Frankfurt.

Yesterday, we at aroma:id had the pleasure of being the host. It was a joy to welcome the community into our studio in Offenbach and offer a space for exchange, conversation and shared perspectives on the role of design in society.

A heartfelt thank you to the whole WDC team for organizing the evening. Special thanks to Helena Kiefer, Anna-Lena Blönnigen and Tim Colloseus.

We are happy to contribute to a culture of openness and dialogue in design.

The Fissler Original-Profi Collection was realised a few years ago and still reflects our commitment to clarity, precision and long-lasting design.

We redesigned the cookware line to create a contemporary version of a long-standing classic. The goal was to retain its character while refining details that matter in everyday use.

The angular handles were ergonomically optimised and the entire range was updated with subtle, consistent adjustments. Every element was considered to ensure the collection performs in both professional kitchens and private homes. Timeless in its appearance and reliable in its function, the design was recognised with both the if Design Award and the Red Dot Award for outstanding quality and sustainability.

💡Together with our partner Sanofi we initiated a unique packaging concept which is using recycled plastics from medical devices. The concept has been submitted for the prestigious Bundespreis Ecodesign, which is awarded by the Federal Ministry for Environment and the German Environment Agency and recognizes the most outstanding ecological designs in Germany this year. 🌍♻️

We are excited to participate the competition with our innovative design concept, which is also supporting circular economy in the medical industry. Stay tuned for more updates later this year.

Meet Francesca, our new team member at aroma:id 🌟

As a skilled Interior and Product Designer with top honors from LABA-Fine Arts University in Italy, Francesca brings a fresh perspective and a wealth of experience. She has recently completed her Master’s in Green & Interior Design and also spent a year at the University of Offenbach through the Erasmus program.

With a background that includes freelance work and collaborations with external companies, Francesca is driven by a passion for sustainable and inclusive design. Her technical and artistic skills, combined with her ability to organize and prioritize, make her a valuable asset to our team.
