👋 Thanks for having us, Initiative (MII) and (OHDSI (Observational Health Data Sciences & Informatics)-Community (Observational Health Data Sciences and Informatics-Community), we had a great time in Berlin with you!

❗ ❔What did we take away from yesterday's workshop ❔❗

➡ Health data is the game changer for improved patient care.
➡ Real-world data and the evidence generated with it has the potential to give this development a rocket-like boost.
➡ Interoperable data and standardized methods are the key to launching this rocket 🚀
➡ More than 3700 global collaborators of the OHDSI community contribute their expertise to making evidence based healthcare a reality

We are excited to see how the Medizininformatik Initiative (MII) and Germany community are moving closer together with and how high the energy is to launch German participation in large international network studies with real world data.
A great example is the publicly available FHIR to OMOP ETL process for the basic modules of the MII core data set developed by the Technische Universität Dresden.
With our software platform , we as a non-profit organization want to make the best possible contribution to making the world a healthier place through the use of health data.
Thank you for allowing us to demonstrate our Data2Evidence platform to this audience - your feedback is invaluable in making the tools D4L Integrate & D4L Analyze even better.

If you want to give us more feedback or if you want to know more about us - or Data4Life's initiatives & projects, you can find our software solutions here:

We are already looking forward to our next big event and seeing the OHDSI community again at the European Symposium in Rotterdam in June.

Predictive models are at the forefront of health research on the way to individual, personalized medicine. One hurdle is still the limitations caused by a lack of standards. How can we break down the silos and make data more usable for global research?

We are delighted to be part of today's Medizin Informatik Initiative (MII) workshop in Berlin: “Real World Data Analytics for Large Scale Evidence Generation - OHDSI in Germany: Aus der Nische in die Zukunft”

As a non-profit organization, we are working to implement our vision of making health data comprehensively, digitally and securely available for research in order to significantly improve the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases. We agree with the OHDSI community on this and are looking forward to an exciting workshop day!

Last month, Data4Life has supported Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Vivantes , Labor Berlin, and Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg by providing the Data4Life App to help travelers at Tegel and Schönefeld airports securely receive their COVID-19 test results. Our team worked tirelessly on the ground, alongside the team from Charité to ensure that the testing process runs as smoothly as possible.

In the beginning of August, the German Health Minister Jens Spahn announced free COVID-19 tests for travelers returning from countries with high coronavirus cases. This was made mandatory starting 8th August, 2020.
There are over 50 countries on the high risk list, and you can find the full list of the affected countries here: https://lnkd.in/g5DgBey

The goal of this measure is to stop the spread of infections across Germany and prevent a second wave of coronavirus.

We are grateful to have been part of this successful project and to have been able to help in testing more than 15,000 people coming from over 15 countries!

Together we can change healthcare for the better.

Data4Life has partnered with several leading institutes in the healthcare field who are supporting us in co-creating solutions to improve global health.

Recently we cooperated with Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin , the university hospital in Berlin, to launch the corona app, CovApp, which helps people decide if they should visit a COVID-19 examination center. CovApp supports doctors during on-site consultations and shortens the waiting period for anyone who completes the questionnaire.

With the Galaktosämie Initiative Deutschland e.V, we developed a digital solution that helps people manage their personal health with evidence-based insights concerning everyday nutrition.

Data4Life is also part of the Smart4Health research consortium. We are working together with Smart4Health partners to develop solutions for digitizing, storing, and sharing personal health data. Our goal is to enable EU citizens to manage their data independently and share it with trusted health professionals.
