Why did we create OPHTHALPRENEURS? It's about being authentic and genuinely wanting to help doctors. We aim to grow the market in a way that directly benefits patients, giving them access to the latest technologies they might not find in public healthcare.
The needs of private practice ophthalmologists have been on the backburner for far too long. Bigger societies cater to the majority—physicians working in public and academic institutions. And that's understandable; clinical and scientific evidence are critical to achieving good outcomes. But, when it comes to technologies offered only in private settings, soft skills are equally important to success. Yet these topics are hardly addressed on the podium.
Which means private practice ophthalmologists have had to fend for themselves, figuring it out on their own.
