See Your Muscles Work — DIERS iEMG

Electromyography (EMG) is a method of measuring muscle electrical activity.

For what is the use?
In rehabilitation, as in cases involving cruciate ligament injuries, EMG is used to detect muscular deficits and asymmetric activation, as well as to provide targeted therapy.
For this application, EMG measurements are taken from the re**us femoris and vastus medialis muscles in both legs (left and right).

🦵 These muscle groups are crucial for knee extension and joint stability, functions that are often impaired after a cruciate ligament injury.

Benefits for the patient
EMG feedback allows patients to visually track their muscle activity in real time.
The targeted exercises can be performed more efficiently, and neural control and muscle activation can be improved. This promotes symmetrical loading of both legs and supports restoring functional movement quality during rehabilitation.

The goal of the measurement is to detect imbalances between the injured and healthy sides early on and address them with targeted training.

Skoliose ist eine seitliche Wirbelsäulenverkrümmung mit Verdrehung der Wirbelkörper. Sie trifft etwa 2–3 % der Weltbevölkerung – das sind rund 246 Millionen Menschen.
