Vielen Dank für die Gelegenheit, Teil des Leaders In Health Podcast zu sein. Es war mir eine Freude, meine Erfahrungen und Gedanken mit der Gemeinschaft zu teilen, insbesondere über die Herausforderungen und Chancen, die Vielfalt und Integration im Gesundheitswesen mit sich bringen.

Anlässlich des Weltkrebstags unterstreicht Anton Faron von der Radiologische Allianz die Wichtigkeit der Früherkennung von Lungenkrebs durch Niedrigdosis-CT.
Dieser Ansatz zielt darauf ab, insbesondere bei langjährigen Rauchern die Krankheit frühzeitig zu erkennen und die Behandlungschancen zu verbessern.
Ein solches Programm demonstriert die entscheidende Rolle der Radiologie im Kampf gegen Krebs.

Today was a big day!! WE HAVE A FRESH PD!!!
I met Andreas when he started his residency in December 2017. I remember the first day when he told us about his dreams and plans. It is a joy to watch how this brilliant mind was growing and becoming a senior himself, guiding other residents in clinical routine and research.

Dear Dr. med. Andreas S. Brendlin,

Your Venia Legendi feels like mine. I am honored that I accompanied you in your research. You are not only a colleague or a friend. You are, for me, a little brother and part of my family.

Congratulations on this fantastic milestone, Mr. PD Dr. Andreas Brendlin. I am sure the future will bring more. You are one of the best researchers that I’ve ever met.

Keep up this incredible spirit, especially your sense of humor. Our research group is very happy to have you, and without you pushing forward and leading the CT research, we wouldn’t have published half of it. We are so proud of you 💪🏽

Vielen Dank für die Orga und für die Einladung. Ich freue mich schon auf das Symposium in 2025.

Es hat mich auch gefreut, die Kolleg:innen aus ganz Deutschland zu treffen.

Radiologists usually hate experimental research in large animal models. It is impossible to compare different CT protocols with patients directly. We used an in vivo large animal model to show the potential for radiation dose reduction using AI systematically. AI algorithms can achieve image quality comparable to the standard IR method but with a significant dose reduction of up to 75%. This suggests a promising avenue for lowering patient radiation exposure without sacrificing diagnostic quality. I am very proud of the team for performing this fantastic study and for the support in achieving great systemical analysis for safer imaging 👍🏽 Link: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0720048X23005818

Central Division UKT Radiology!!! What a team 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 We had a great Christmas get-together. It is an honor to be part of the attending team of the central division (Zentrales Röntgen). The one and only A-Team of Tübingen 🫶🏽 I enjoy every day with these guys. Malte, Rüdiger, and Werner, you guys are the best. I must also emphasize that we have the best residents and the best spirit (maybe in the German Radiology 😅). Thank you all for the wonderful year and the teamwork!! You are not only colleagues and not only friends; you are my work family… Kudos to the central division 🎉 PS: Yes, we had a dress code 😂
