Smart Angle Device for the new Neurostar Robot Stereotaxic.

This device allows working in precise oblique trajectories. The rotation point is close to the fixation point of the attached tool, leading to increased precision. In addition it has a digital readout of the angle with a readout precision of 0.5°, compared to the poor precision of the traditional angle joint of 2°. This small add-on can be attached and detached.

The new Neurostar stereotaxic robot is a new development generated after years of experience with our traditional stereotaxic robots (Neurostar invented robot stereotaxy more than 10 years ago). This new design was developed from scratch, having all components from Neurostar. Our goal was to improve overall performance, accuracy and user-friendliness and to eliminate drawbacks of the traditional design. The old dovetail slide was replaced by the modern ball bearing slide, enabling improved smooth precision motion, reduced weight of moving parts and higher miniaturization. The system is compatible with traditional adaptors and ear bars, similar to the U-frame design.
