✨ Honoring a true pioneer in craniomaxillofacial surgery: In May 2024, Prof. Dr. Maxime Champy was named an honorary member of the German Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (DGMKG) for his outstanding contributions to science, education, and clinical practice.
His revolutionary concept of dynamic yet stable osteosynthesis using miniplates transformed the treatment of facial fractures and set a new global standard. What started as an innovative idea in the 1970s caught the eye of Karl Leibinger, leading to a visionary collaboration and the birth of standardized osteosynthesis systems by KLS Martin Group.
🔩 From plates to custom tools, Prof. Champy's legacy lives on in every product designed to improve surgical care worldwide.
Some days ago, in a gesture of appreciation and lasting connection, Christian Leibinger (Managing Director | Chairman of the Supervisory Board) visited Prof. Maxime Champy in Strasbourg. The occasion marked the 50th anniversary of the first miniplate set for CMF surgery, co-developed by Prof. Champy and KLS Martin. This reunion celebrated not only a milestone in surgical innovation, but also the lasting power of trust, partnership, and shared vision between medicine and industry. 💡🤝💡🤝
