✨ IPS® Preprosthetic planning – from trauma to reconstruction

After multiple prior treatments using standard and IPS® Implants, this patient with severe shotgun-related facial trauma was managed using IPS® Preprosthetic.

1️⃣ The preoperative situation required removal of an existing plate, a tooth, and bone fragments.
2️⃣ Following plate removal, the scapula transplant could be repositioned.
3️⃣The scapula transplant was integrated into the implant design, with bilateral fixation of the implant to the zygomatic regions.
4️⃣Implant positioning was guided by virtual simulation of the upper and lower dentition.
5️⃣Final planning included a detailed screw map with recommended screw lengths.
6️⃣ After completion of the digital planning workflow, the custom‑made implant was manufactured and prepared for shipment.
