The joy of being – what a celebration life itself is! A gift many have forgotten in our times. We take existence for granted, seldom pausing to realize how blessed we are. The Earth, the atmosphere, the water, the fertile soil that nourishes us – all woven into a delicate web that makes life possible. Just as the community that holds and connects us.
Yet, instead of honoring these gifts, we drown in a flood of information. We seek belonging through social media, while true connection often fades. Conflicts and wars divide us, digging trenches that take centuries to heal. We watch battles near and far – in Ukraine, Gaza, Iran, Israel – and ask: Who is right? Who is to blame? We are all caught in this play of life, sometimes active, sometimes passive.
Who wins when division and hatred reign? Our children suffer, the weak and the poor bear the heaviest burdens – yet the powerful too are trapped in their hunger for control. Why can we not live in peace? Why is it not enough to give everyone enough so that life may flourish, not just survive?
The war of opposition has no victors. The pandemic showed us this too, dividing us – vaccinated or not, lines were drawn, leaving little space just to be.
How do we find our way back to ourselves? How do we take the reins of life once more? The answers lie not outside, but within. Only those who find peace within can bring peace to the world.
Each of us can remember what truly matters: returning to nature, our true home, to non-violent togetherness, to community.
May my actions be a humble contribution – for the well-being of all beings.
Loka Samastha Sukino Bhavantu – May all beings everywhere be happy and free.
