How many of us actually slow down at mealtime to thoroughly chew our food?
We live in a busy fast paced world and often times rush through everything in our day. Even eating. Our minds are racing, we’re distracted by our phone, we’re thinking about the next task at hand.
Chewing our food sounds like common sense right? Of course we chew our food, lol.
🌟I can’t stress enough how important it is to really slow down, calm your mind, and chew it until it’s mush in your mouth. The consistency of applesauce. Like 20-30 times per bite.
This affects our WHOLE digestive system. Which in turn affects how we absorb the nutrients we’re eating, our energy levels, how we feel, how healthy we are overall, etc.
Our body senses what type of food we have in our mouth as soon as it hits our tongue, and the digestive process has already started.
Do you ever have gas, bloating, feel too full, heartburn, etc? Then chew your food!! You’ll thank me later 😜
