Alert: Successful ridge preservation in a periodontally compromised patient
Dr. Tin Crnic treated a- 80-year-old patient who presented with pain and mobility in tooth 25 due to advanced periodontal destruction. Following extraction, a buccal bone wall defect was identified. Using NOVAMag® SHIELD in combination with collacone®, the alveolar ridge was successfully preserved, creating a stable foundation for a future dental bridge.
The resorbable magnesium Shield protected the socket, preserved vital ridge volume, and supported an alkaline environment beneficial to bone and soft tissue regeneration.
