From today, I can call myself a certified mindfulness facilitator.
I finished my training with an organisation called “Breathworks” which specialises in mindfulness for people with pain, stress and chronic illness.
I feel deeply passionate about passing on my own personal experience with the many ways in which mindfulness and meditation can ease symptoms and help improve quality of life for people struggling with these kinds of issues.
I also know that many people with chronic stress and pain may need more help in calming down the nervous system than “just” meditation, which is why I mostly combine my mindfulness facilitation with sound meditation, stretching, light movement and breathwork.
So far, I have stuck to facilitating meditative experiences, and havent really taught the concepts, ideas and “theory” behind the practice, and particularly how it relates to pain, stress and illness. However I am curious to start doing that as well, and I feel like I have a solid background for doing so (the actual mindfulness facilitator training having added maybe 5% of what I have learned about these topics through the years).
Would you, or do you know anyone who would, be interested in that? Could be in the shape of a retreat, in-person sessions in Hjerterum (Aarhus) or online.
