Grief alters our lives in ways we may not have anticipated. Even simple questions can be turned into painful reminders of all that has changed. Do you have a question you dread?

Although no harm is intended when someone asks these questions, they can bring up feelings of sadness, anger, frustration or fear. Give yourself grace and understanding in these challenging moments. You are not expected to know how to respond, or how much to share when someone asks questions about your life now. Be compassionate with yourself as you navigate your grief at your own pace. What question gets to you the most?

Why you're sad.

You're attached to people who have been on and off with you for an extended period of time.

You pay attention to people who only make time for you when it's convenient for them.

You're too caring to people who could care less about you.

You give attention to people who take you for granted and put you on the back burner because they think no matter what they do, you will never leave.

Do me a favor and accept people for who they are, & leave them where they belong.
