About Birgitte:
Birgitte graduated as a physiotherapist in Aarhus in 2005. She later completed training as a certified lymphedema therapist at the renowned Földi Clinic in Germany and became a STOTT Pilates instructor through Aim4 in Aarhus. In addition, she is a medical doctor-certified acupuncturist, trained by MD Eckhard Bick, and has pursued advanced acupuncture courses focusing on fertility and pregnancy.
Within physiotherapy, Birgitte has specialized in pregnancy- and postpartum-related conditions and has completed continuing education in spinal and cervical rehabilitation.
For more than a decade, she has treated infants and supported couples struggling with infertility through an integrative approach combining physiotherapy and acupuncture.
In 2023, Birgitte became a certified pelvic health therapist through DUGOF, and she now treats both women and men with pelvic floor dysfunction.
In 2024, she completed the Canadian ISM (Integrated Systems Model) series with internationally recognized physiotherapist Diane Lee. As Diane states, “ISM is just good physiotherapy” — the course provided Birgitte with a systematic, clinical reasoning framework that integrates all her previous modalities into one cohesive approach.
Today, she treats a wide range of clients using an evidence-informed and holistic perspective on the body and mind: older adults with back pain, adolescents with sports injuries, pregnant women with pelvic girdle pain, men and women with incontinence, individuals with chronic pain, and those whose physical symptoms stem from an overactive and dysregulated nervous system.
Birgitte emphasizes patient education — helping clients understand the “why” behind their symptoms — and focuses on the body’s inherent capacity to reorganize itself when given the right treatment relationship.
