This weekend marked the first new moon of the astrological year. Aries is the beginning, the clean slate, the initiation. This new moon carries a sense of fresh energy, birthing us into spring and a new season.
When the moon aligns with the sun, it’s not visible in the dark night sky. The work of this phase happens below the surface, planting seeds in the subconscious that have the power to shift and rearrange our reality. As within, so without. What we tend to internally has the power to shape what unfolds externally.
Any new moon is a time to plant seeds, to set intentions. On this first new moon of the astrological year, we are at a point of beginning, setting the tone for what is to come. A moment to return to your sankalpa. What is your sankalpa for the season ahead? As spring blooms, what are you cultivating?
Aries is the sign of the self, of identity, ruled by Mars, the planet of action and will.
