🚨🌟 New paper Alert! 🌟🚨

We are excited to share this review!
Key take aways:
💠 Metabolic factors, including ketones, may play a significant role in anorexia nervosa (AN).
💠Ketones and related molecules influence brain function, behavior, and energy balance, making them potential targets for intervention.
💠Exogenous ketones or ketone precursors could serve as alternative brain energy sources in AN, warranting further research.

The review highlights a metabolic perspective that could open new avenues for treatment and research in eating disorders.

The study was carried out by Nadia Micali, Maria C. Miletta Christoffer Clemmensen Edoardo Pappaianni Bernard Cuenoud and Carmen Sandi

🌟eprObes meeting🌟
This week, the Region H team, including Nadia Micali and Elena Jansen, hosted 30 EU partners of the eprObes team in Copenhagen.

Over the last 2 days we shared the latest results in our endeavour to understand early risk factors and intervene in order to prevent lifetime obesity.

We are almost at the half-time mark and will be able to share the first guides and other output soon. Stay tuned!!!

In the meantime, check out our resources on the eprObes website here: https://eprobes.eu/observatory/

You can select those relevant for parents & children, healthcare professionals or researchers.

🌟Region Hovedstaden Psykiatri’s annual Research Day 🌟

Wednesday, CEDaR attended with PhD student Stefana Darvariu presenting her poster on a fascinating and important topic: “Stool metabolic profiles after a single fetal microbiota transplant in women with Anorexia Nervosa: linking microbial composition to function.” Her work explores the gut-brain axis in a novel way, shedding light on how microbial interventions might influence metabolic and mental health outcomes.

Thanks to RHP for organizing a well-run event and creating space for knowledge exchange across disciplines.

🌟PODCAST🌟

✨ Spændende milepæl for ACCOMPANY-projektet ✨

⭐ CEDaR goes to SPR Krakow! ⭐

This month, Assistant Professor Anne Bryde and PhD student Mathilde Hasselby-Andersen represented CEDaR at the World Conference for the Society for Psychotherapy Research (SPR 2025) in Krakow.

🗣️ Anne participated in a panel on group therapy process and outcome, with her presentation “Helpful and Hindering Processes in Systemic-Narrative Group Therapy for Binge Eating Disorder”, exploring what supports and obstructs therapeutic change.

🧠 Mathilde presented her poster “Investigating the Process of Drop-out in Psychotherapy for Binge Eating Disorder”, shedding light on the complex experiences of patients who discontinue treatment.

We’re proud to see important qualitative research contribute to international discussions on psychotherapy and eating disorders. Both studies har part of the HALO study, see more on out pages 🤩

🌸 This weekend, the BLOOM team had an amazing time at the BørnefestiBAL in Copenhagen! 🎉

We were so excited to be part of this joyful celebration of creativity, curiosity, and play – all tailored for the little (but mighty!) minds. 💡🧒👧
From hands-on activities to meaningful conversations with parents, kids, and educators, it was a lovely weekend. We were also there to share more about our BLOOM study and connect with families interested in joining our research💡🧠

Thanks to everyone who stopped by, participated, and made the day extra special! 💫

We’re excited to keep growing — together. 🌱
