🌱 Decoding the Mystery of Soy 🥢✨

Did you know that soy can do a little science magic in our bodies? 🧪🙌 Let's break it down:
Soy contains a type of plant nutrient called a phytoestrogen (basically, “plant-estrogen” 🪴💕). But don’t worry – it's not the same as human estrogen. 🛠 These little molecules are similar in structure to estrogen (the primary female hormone) but interact with our bodies in a totally unique way.

Here’s how it works: 🧬
Our body has two main docking stations (aka receptors) for estrogen – alpha and beta. Natural estrogen hangs out with both receptors equally. Soy phytoestrogens, though? They’re choosy queens 👑 and prefer to connect with beta receptors.

🌟 What does this mean?

Our Story

LØS market er Danmarks første emballagefri købmand. Det er nyt indkøbs-koncept på Vesterbro - Kbh - hvor vi sælger økologiske fødevarer uden emballage i løssalg. I princippet et konceptet det sammen som at sælge slik på løssalg, men vi sælger i stedet dejlige økologiske tørvarer, frugter, grønsager, vin, olivenolie, honning og flyvende husholdnings- og håndsæbe. Alle tørvarer opbevares i speciel designede beholdere (kaldt "siloer" eller “spade beholder”). Mebring din egen emballage hjemmefra eller brug butikkens miljøvenlige emballager; bomulds indkøbsposer og glaskrukker står til rådighed i butikken. Et pant-systemet internt i butikken til vin- og olieflasker bliver stillet til rådighed. Du køber din flaske en gang, du fylder flasken med det indhold du ønsker og når du kommer tilbage til vores butik, afleverer du den brugte og får en ny gratis flaske i stedet for (vi gør den brugte flaske rent med vores egne EU-certificeret vaskemaskine). Med vin, olivenolie og sæbe, du kommer til at tage dine egne flasker eller beholder eller butikken vil stille nogle til rådighed. Dermed gør vi alle sammen en forskel med at: 1- Bruge 0 emballage når du køber ind i denne butik og dermed er butikken en aktiv aktør i nedsættelsen af emballagens produktion (vi bruger 759kg affald om året – Europa største forbruger). Dermed er butikken en direkte og konkret medvirker i den grønne omstilling vi og politikerne er villige til at gennemføre (København Co2 neutral i 2025). 2- Undgå spild af maden (der bliver smittet ca 25% mad ud hvert år). Du kommer til at købe de mængder de har lyst til at købe, ikke mere, ikke mindre. 3- Få lige så konkurrencedygtige priser for økologiske varer (nogen gang billiger) i forhold til de konventionelle supermarkeder fordi vi kommer til at købe bulk (25 kg sække, 10 liters dunker mm). 4- Bruge de lokale økologiske producenter i prioritet og dermed støtte den danske økologiske landbrug og forkorte afstand mellem producenter og dig til gavn for miljø og det lokale fællesskab. 5- Give dig muligheden for at vælge en anden fødevarers indkøbsmodel og gøre en forskel, miljømæssigt og ved at støtte et fuld bæredygtigt projekt.
