Advice on Needle Aspiration. The NeedleGuide Asssistant makes aspiration easier for you. We aspirate the needle to make sure we have not injected the medication into a blood vessel. When you have injected the needle, you can aspirate safely using the NeedleGuide Assistant. Aspirate by drawing the needle upwards for 5-10 seconds, if you see blood in the needletip of the syringe do not inject. Remove the device, change the needletip and needle and start the procedure again on a different spot. Each time we perform needle aspiration we make sure we absorb the right dose of medication and avoid side effects.
