Doula Training 2025-2026

We trust birth, we believe in women and we know deep in our hearts and from experience, that skilled doulawork can lead to change.

In order to do this doula work, we need an empathic community of dedicated doulas to lift the culture around birth.

*WHAT
We have created this course for you to gain the confidence and knowledge necessary to become a doula, so that you can support women in pregnancy and birth. In this doula training we weave empirical wisdom and modern science together in an intensive education, placing emphasis on our embodied, practical and holistic approach to being doulas.

*HOW
Our signature doula programme is a 8 modules and 16-day in-person comprehensive doula training, in the heart of Copenhagen.
We have included a retreat in nature to nurture our senses and deepen the work around our relationship to birthh and the personal experience of being born.

*WHO
This doula training is for aspiring and practising doulas, birth workers, and healthcare professionals, rooted in a holistic understanding of birth physiology and psychology.

*WHY
This doula training is unique because it is exclusively created by experienced doulas who together have spend thousand of hours with pregnant and labouring women and new mothers. We wish more doulas learn what we know, because we truly belive that this wisdom can make a positive difference and change the paradigm of birth.

Black Breastfeeding Week is really important.
Here’s why ( again )
• Black women are 3-4 times more likely to die during childbirth.
• Black babies die at twice the rate of white babies.
• Black mothers are 9 times more likely to be offered formula by a healthcare professional than white women.
• Unique cultural barriers are experienced among Black pregnant, birthing, and breastfeeding mothers.
Black Breastfeeding Week, from the 25th to the 31st of August, is important.

An important survey about postpartum care, needs, support and experience 🙏🏽

Please help the European Doula Network (EDN) and fill out the survey if you have given birth within the last 5 years - the survey will help shed light on postpartum care and how to best support newborn families🙏🏽

Mothers of Europe, we need your help!

European doula network is conducting a survey about Postpartum practise and possibilities in different countries.

Results of this survey will be a starting point of creating Action Manifest for postpartum care during Postpartum Summit (more here https://mailchi.mp/5f5173989c86/postpartum-revolution-feb2025) in January-February of 2025.

Postpartum summit is organized by Postnatal Support Network and their partners Geboortenis Zutphen and European Doula Network

Survey is translated into many languages so if you are a mother that gave birth in the last 5 years fill it out and help us understand where we stand with supporting mothers in Europe.
