Most headaches I see… don’t actually start in the head

They start here 👉 neck + shoulders

Sitting all day
Stress
Shallow breathing

→ creates tension
→ tension builds up
→ your body compensates
→ and with time you get headaches.

That’s why you can stretch, rest, even get a massage…

…but it keeps coming back.

Because the problem isn’t just the pain
👉 it’s the pattern behind it

Once you understand that, everything changes.

If you often feel your headache starting in your neck or between your shoulder blades…

That’s not random.
That’s a signal.

And it can be worked on, from the roots.

Most people breathe… but not in a way that actually helps their body.
[small extract from my neck an headache program]

When your breathing is too fast, shallow, or stuck in the chest, it keeps your body in a constant “on” state.
More tension and headaches. Less recovery.

What we want instead is simple:

✔️ Slow breathing 5,5 sec in, 5,5 sec out
✔️ Through the nose
✔️ Letting the belly expand naturally
✔️ Relaxed breathing (focus on breathing so that you can hear it)

This tells your nervous system: you’re safe, let's have a break from survival.
And that’s where relaxation and recovery begin.

It might sound basic… but for many of my clients, this is one of the missing pieces.

Small thing I do, with my clients,

I check in.

A simple message in between sessions
“How are your symptoms now?”

And this is why I love it:

Seeing headaches disappear
Tension go down
Seeing people feel better in their own body 😊

Just feeling the progress over time.

It’s definitely one of the best parts of my job 🙏

Vacations 😊

No clients, no fixing bodies, no thinking about posture, pain, or progress.

Just… slowing down.

And honestly, I needed it more than I thought.
I realized that i didn't go on vacations for 8 months 😬 and i started to feel more tired and it was harder to show up with the same positive energy in front of you guys.

It’s easy to get caught in the idea that we always need to do more to feel better. Train more. Work more. Fix more.

But sometimes, the body doesn’t need another stretch or another session.

It needs rest.

Real rest, where nothing is expected of you

Where your nervous system can finally downshift

Where you’re not trying to improve anything

Coming back, I feel clearer, lighter, and more present in my work again.

A small reminder for you too:

If you’ve been pushing for a while… it might not be more effort you need.

It might be permission to pause 🫶

I’m now officially a RAB (Registreret Alternativ Behandler)

What does that mean for you?

👉 The biggest one
Some health insurance plans in Denmark can now reimburse part of your treatments

That means you can take care of your body and potentially get money back at the same time

👉 It also means
I meet official standards for education, ethics, and professionalism
and I commit to ongoing learning to keep improving the quality of care you receive

In simple terms
You’re not just booking a massage
You’re investing in your health, with possible financial support on top

If you’re unsure whether your insurance covers it, feel free to message me and I’ll help you figure it out 🙂

See you soon !

I’m happy to share that after 2 years and a lot of learning, I’m now officially certified as a Musculupat 🎓

But what does that actually mean?

A musculupat is a therapist who specializes in the muscles, joints and connective tissues of the body, and how tension, overload and everyday habits can lead to pain and dysfunction.

A musculupat works by identifying which muscles and movement patterns are creating the problem, as well as the nervous system response and then helping the body recover.

A treatment can include:

👉 Targeted manual therapy (massage and muscle treatment)
👉 Releasing tight or overworked muscles
👉 Improving mobility and movement patterns
👉 Breathing or relaxation techniques to calm the nervous system
👉 Simple exercises or advice to prevent the problem from returning

The goal is not only temporary relief, but to understand the cause of the tension and help the body function better long-term.

It was very exciting and eye opening to learn how so many things are affecting us everyday, both mentally and physically, I am very greatful for AM Academy for all the lessons learned there.

My next step is a mindfulness and Cognitive behavioral therapy based stress reduction program.
Never stop learning 💪

Every month I donate to a new NGO, posting it here to share good initiatives around the world.

Today I donated to World Central Kitchen.

They show up where food is needed most.
War zones. Natural disasters. Communities in crisis.

Instead of sending money into “big systems,” they mobilize local chefs and volunteers and start cooking immediately. Fresh meals. On the ground. Fast.

Since 2010, they have served 600millions of meals after hurricanes, earthquakes, wildfires, and conflicts around the world.

What I respect most is their efficiency.
They focus on one thing: get nutritious food to people quickly and with dignity.

For every 100$ they get, only 4$ is going to administration, it is one of the most ressource efficient NGO i found yet!

If you’re looking for a place where your money turns into real, immediate impact, this is one of them.

Let's keep the good work, have a great day ❤️

It is cheap and simple, and can make a difference !

Although it probably won't be enough by itself, combined with manual therapy of exercises, kinesiotaping can help you lower the everyday tension on your neck and get rid of symtomes.

Using it as part of treatments, i have seen it help, especially when working long hours or training.

You stress directly affect many of your body's functions, including your pain receptors.

If your pain keeps coming back,
we should look at both the body and the stress load.
