The thought crosses every footballer’s mind at some point during a match. The opposition goalkeeper stands a few metres too far off his line, and suddenly the idea appears: could I score from here?

For most players, the thought remains just that. For Patrice Baumann, captain and centre-back of Swiss amateur side FC Rorschach-Goldach 17, the thought has become reality three times in just over a year.

Three seasons of trying to score a bicycle kick.
Sam Snodgrass finally nailed it. His first-ever goal for the team ended up being exactly that. With his back to goal, he didn’t think it was going in, but the footage says otherwise.
He checked his phone nonstop after the match waiting for the recording, clipped it instantly and kept watching it back. Now he has the proof that the thing he kept trying can actually happen.
Three years of attempts. One goal that made it worth it.

Riley Falconer’s goal was the fifth in a 5–0 win, but this one hit different. 😌

A quick throw-in, a bit of improvisation to beat the defenders and a finish lifted high enough that the keeper had no chance.

Her club backed it so much they put it forward before she even knew about it. What Riley remembers most is the vibe after. The team running over, everyone locked in, enjoying the moment and then straight back to work.

Now, the team gets to look back on all of it. A proper highlight.

A solo run from a match in North York that became the best goal Emmanuel has scored so far. 🤯

He controlled a throw-in near the corner flag, shifted past the first defender, used a stepover to beat the second and finished calmly into the far corner. The kind of moment that catches everyone by surprise, including his teammates who could not believe what they had just watched.

Captured on Veo and soon to be shown to a larger audience. A reminder of what can happen when confidence, timing and instinct all come together.

Girls in marginalized communities who can’t access opportunities in sports are being left behind. And the gap keeps growing.

But on this November afternoon in north London, these girls had access. They played, they learned, they belonged. And they could see themselves as future Lionesses.

The inaugural 𝐀𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐚 𝐂𝐮𝐩 brought together 180 girls from marginalized communities for a day of football. The name was new, but the concept wasn’t. had been running the UK’s first-ever football wellbeing tournaments for years. This time, a collaboration with Sky and The Alessia Russo Foundation gave the event a much larger platform.

Veo recorded every match, allowing the girls to re-watch their games and special moments over and over again.

Konstantin Rettig’s first goal after 730+ days out with injury wasn’t just any goal. ⚽️

The SG Scharmbeck-Pattensen-Ashausen midfielder picked up the ball outside the box, cut inside, and sent a strike so perfect it seemed to pause in the net. His first goal back wasn’t just about the technique – watch him sprint straight to the bench, to the people who never stopped believing.
“In that moment, I ran to my teammates because they supported me through everything.”

Times Square transformed into a football pitch 🏙️⚽

When and Street Soccer USA took over NYC’s brightest lights, they proved grassroots deserves the biggest stages.

From 8am to 11pm, young players from the Bronx, Brooklyn, and East Harlem competed where tourists usually snap selfies. The 10th annual Times Square Cup brought together 40+ teams for 90 matches and nearly 1,000 goals.

“The ex*****on on site was phenomenal, and having partners like Veo that allow us to spread images around the world just elevates the whole experience,” says Marc Lingenhoff from BVB Americas.

With Veo cameras streaming every match live, families worldwide watched their kids play on one of the planet’s most famous stages. Despite 90 minutes of rain, the players never stopped smiling.
