DAY 3

Some had a tough time getting up to the morning sessions after an outstanding performance at the dance floor. It was on fire 💃🕺🏼🔥

However, the sessions today did not lack anything. Really great presentations, questions and thoughts for reflection.

It all terminated with an excellent talk by amazing Joanne Kemp on hip pain in athletes.

On behalf of the organizing committee we want to thank all of our collaborators, exhibitors, volunteers and of course the attendees for making this congress legendary once again.

Thank you!

👀SEE YOU IN 2027!🙌🏻
We look forward to welcome you at Sportskongres 2027, same place, 4th to 6th of February 2027.

DAY 2

What a day!
Starting off with sessions with lots of questions and discussions.

Moving to yet another round of oral presentations with overcrowded rooms and great presentations.

Rest of the day followed the same trend. Excellent speaks and plenty of discussions with experiences from clinical practice.

The scientific program terminated with an outstanding Oral competition led by Julie Sandell Jacobsen and Lina Holm Ingelsrud.

Out of 127 submitted abstracts, these were the six selected:

• Anne-Sofie Agergaard - Extended restitution time does not enhance the benefits of 12-weeks exercise-based treatment for patellar tendinopathy: A Randomized Controlled Clinical Trial
• Adam Culvenor - Exercise and education for young adults with early-onset knee osteoarthritis following ACL reconstruction: The SUPER-Knee randomised controlled trial
• Frank Devereux - The Effects of a Games-based Injury Prevention Exercise Programme on Injury Incidence in Post-Primary School Students
• Niels Christian Kaldau - A simple trephination does not increase the healing potential for all-inside meniscal repair: A double blinded randomized controlled trial
• Ida Lindman - Warning Signs of Injury: Changes in Pain, Training Load, and Wellness in Elite Youth Athletes
• Kay Crossley - Supported implementation enhances injury prevention program use in women’s Australian Football: a type III hybrid implementation-effectiveness stepped-wedge cluster randomised trial.

It was a close race!
Runner up was Kay Crossley 🥈
And the winner was Adam Culvenor 🥇

Also Signe Kierkegaard-Brøchner won the prize for best Poster 🥇

Congratulation to the winners and all of the presenters. Thanks for all of the submitted abstracts! You set the standard and it is high level 🙌🏻

Last of all we want to thank the judges. Without your work we couldn’t continue with the high level or have a fair competition.

Last but NOT least. A huge thanks to BMJ Open Sport and Exercise Medicine. Our collaborates throughout the last year. We really appreciate 👏🏻

“Social and psychological burden of knee injury”

When a child or adolescent sustains a knee injury, the injured knee may not be the only challenge. They may feel they miss out on being with friends and being part of a team. Their life is on pause. Their dreams and hopes may be shattered. In clinic, we meet devastated teenagers and worried parents. Social and psychological implications of a knee injury is poorly understood. In this symposium, we have gathered experienced and innovative clinicians and researchers who have looked into the psychological burden of knee injury. You’ll be presented with presentations by Niklas Cederstrøm, Hege Grindem and Trine Hysing-Dahl. Their insights may help clinicians to better understand these aspects and keep them in mind in patient treatment. Also, this symposium may be useful in sparking interest and evaluate these aspects better in patient treatment and research.

See you Thursday!!
