📢 Did you know...

When a new employees joins the crew on an ESVAGT vessel, they begin with an onboarding program that prepares them thoroughly for the job ahead 💪

👨‍✈️ New employees also receive a general introduction to ESVAGT – directly from our CEO – who shares the company’s direction and explains why safety is deeply embedded in our DNA

🎓 These courses are a deliberate choice by ESVAGT to ensure our crews are well-equipped to carry out their tasks onboard and service our customers.

Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming a new group of employees to ESVAGT 🚢

📍 ESVAGT was proudly represented at the networking fair hosted by SIMAC in Svendborg!

From our team, Tina H. Nielsen and Christian Hey Mortensen joined forces with one of our dedicated seafarers, Mads Damgaard, who is currently studying to become a Master.

The fair was buzzing and well-attended, offering a great opportunity to connect with future maritime employees and share insights from life at sea. 🚢🌊⚓

Afterwards, we had the pleasure of congratulating another of our sailors, Aleksandr Mukhin, who had just taken his final exam as a master mariner. He finished with the grade 12 and was able to ring the bell.

🎃👻 It’s spooky season onboard the ESVAGT CORNELIA!

The crew took a cozy break to carve pumpkins and bring some Halloween spirit to sea life.

Not so (un)cozy after all! 🧡⚓️

Farewell to an Era: With the Sale of ESVAGT CHARLIE, ESVAGT Says Goodbye to the Last Group 3 Vessel

The transfer of ESVAGT CHARLIE to SeaOwl on October 3rd marked not only the end of a vessel’s service - but also a farewell to an entire class of vessels in ESVAGT’s history. With this sale, ESVAGT bids farewell to the last of its iconic Group 3 vessels.

Over the years, Group 3 vessels have been the backbone of ESVAGT’s standby operations, making an invaluable contribution to offshore safety in the North Sea. With an average lifespan of 53 years and a total of 36 lives saved, these vessels have left a lasting mark on both safety and the ESVAGT culture - and have played a significant role in ESVAGT’s growth and development.

ESVAGT CHARLIE has spent the past 2.5 years on a bareboat charter with SeaOwl and now reaches its next destination—this time as a permanent part of SeaOwl’s fleet. The vessel has been a most vital resource in offshore readiness and a platform for professional seamanship and a unique safety culture.

Since the first Group 3 vessel was sold in 2016, the fleet has gradually evolved. With ESVAGT CHARLIE’s departure, an era has truly come to an end. Yet the legacy lives on - in the safety culture, in the many seafarers who learned their craftmanship onboard, and in the values these vessels helped shape.

A special thanks to the many individuals who served aboard the Group 3 vessels for their dedication and commitment throughout the many years - without you, no ESVAGT.

1,000 guests at a wonderful ESVAGT Family Day

With The Tall Ships Races as a beautiful backdrop, ESVAGT had a terrific Family Day last week with more than 1.000 guests.
Throughout a beautiful and sunny day, 900 ice creams and 931 jumbo burgers were enjoyed, and more than 700 trips with our various boats were made, whipping the harbor into foam as the boats sailed nonstop to show our guests what ESVAGT is all about:

Safety and support at sea.

Thank you to everyone who came and contributed to making the day fantastic. It is great to see that so many colleagues want to show ESVAGT to their families.
Want to come along next year? See our vacancies here.
And a special thank you to the colleagues who could not participate, but who stayed at work and kept the ESVAGT flag high. You are the ones making it all possible.

From the North Sea – another small rescue mission by ESVAGT

Out in the deep blue of the North Sea, three weary homing pigeons set their sights on the ESVAGT HEIDI - perhaps drawn in by the tempting aromas wafting from the galley?

A bit off course and clearly in need of a break, two of them landed on the cargo deck during operations near the Dan field. A little while later, a third pigeon appeared in the bridge wing.

Each of the three feathered sailors was given shelter in their own “luxury suite” (a laundry basket), fresh water and sunflower seeds courtesy of the ship’s cook. They enjoyed the rest needed.

When the vessel arrived in Esbjerg, the pigeons were the first to disembark and were picked up by the local homing pigeon association.

We hope they made it safely back to their respective owners.
