Sevā {seh-vah}
In yoga, this is service.
It is the practice of offering care without expectation. Not to fix or rescue, but to contribute what you can, where you are, in a way that respects dignity and choice.
This January, our sevā is local.
We are supporting a women’s shelter in our city over the next few weeks. The house offers safe accommodation, counselling, and practical support to women and their children during a transitional period after experiencing violence or serious crisis in family or intimate partner relationships.
Sevā does not need to be loud.
It starts by looking after the community you are part of.
We wil have 2 boxes on both floors where you can kindly donate:
• clothing for the women and mothers, all sizes are appreciated but there is an emphasis for larger sizes in need.
• clothing and toys for 10 months to 6 years
• please be aware of the quality of items being brought in, no holes or damage, and clothes are to be clean.
Thank you so much
