Have you thought about how to get as much out of life as you want? It does not always happen by trying to get better at what you do right now. Sometimes it's a matter of doing something else: Maybe take new responsibility and do something else within your field of work - or start in an entirely new area. In both ways, sometimes you need to take a new step forward... to where it may be challenging for you to go.

We may hold back because we think it's hard to do something new. Often, however, it is not difficult... or maybe only the transition is difficult. Is it, for example, hard to drive a car? Maybe when you are taking the driver's license, it can be very difficult and challenging. Then once you have learned it and driven a car for a couple of years, it feels like nothing at all. It’s the transition into new things in life may seem difficult today, but once you do it, it can bring great joy and freedom... and even bring you to wherever you want to be.

Another advantage of taking a new step forward is that you do not get "rusted." For example, the body ages entirely on its own, but you can do something to halt the process through exercise and healthy diet. Likewise, you can keep your inner human being healthy by entering into new areas.

You only have one life. Live it the best you can.

Have hope ​​... have faith... do not focus on your current difficult situation where you cannot see the light ahead. Life is like the seasons. It may be that you are in a dark time right now, but it will not stay this way. There is light on the other side. Do not give up, but be confident that you will make it there. We all experience periods in our lives where life is difficult. It is during those times that it is important to have friends. The people you can be with when it is dark are your real friends. They are there, and they bring a light just by wanting to walk with you through the dark times. "I do not have the energy to do it" is a sentence we all hear - or say - ones in a while. However, we may not need more energy. Perhaps you just need to get rid of what takes your energy. There are many things that can take your energy: Concerns, too many activities in everyday life, unresolved conflicts with other people, fear of the future, too much self-criticism or unrealistic expectations towards yourself.

Set yourself free from the things in your life that take the energy. It may not be possible to do it immediately. Maybe it is a process that takes time, but it is a good process to get started.

It's important to have people in your life you can share your inner life with. It's not hard to smile all the time. But the people you can cry with are worth gold. Loneliness disappears when you share your innermost thoughts and feelings with other people. Finding such people does not happen only by chance. It is a result of a deliberate search for them. It’s more than a waste of time to stay angry at others. You are hurting yourself. If you stay angry, you hold on to the pain of what their actions have done to you, and you give the other person power over your life and you are the one that experiences the hurt.

You may think that you punish the other person with your anger. But apart from the fact that it is not good to think of revenge and punishing others, they may be indifferent to your anger. They go on with their lives ... and you are the one losing.
Instead, cut off the mental connection you have to the other person. You do this by forgiving. If you let go of and forgive what has been done, your anger will leave your mind and you will be free from the pain that was in your anger. It is not always easy; It is not always a one-time deal, but it is the way forward.

It is important to take good care of yourself. Too late, many people find out that they gave too much and the result is stress, marriage troubles and being overcome by worries.

The famous Danish businessman Maersk is often quoted for talking about "constant care". This is a great personal maxim. Be aware of the direction you move in. Where will it lead you in two weeks ... two months ... two years?

Take care of yourself ... it's not certain that others will do so. When you feel that others may not be aware of you, they are not necessarily selfish or doing it from ill will. Perhaps they struggle to keep their own heads above the water. It is in many ways a challenging time we live in. There are many things that can take our time, effort, faith, optimism, and energy ... simply because of the state of the world. Therefore, do stop and judge your own personal condition. If you do not take care of yourself, then you're not of much use to others.

It's not so important that everyone likes you. The most important thing is that there is someone who loves you and that you care about in return. Give them your attention - they deserve it.

Concerns drain energy. Concerns are worries about how things will turn out. But worries are at the same time useless, no matter how much you worry, the worries will not change anything at all. The only thing that concerns can change about a situation is making it harder for you to go through it.

When you allow your mind to circle around the same thought in your head, you cannot stop worrying. Therefore, the solution to being concerned is to control your thoughts. Sometimes you can control them by acting on what you're wondering about - thus turning thought into action. Other times, you can choose to break the train of thought, perhaps by calling someone you know, and thus thinking about something else. Regardless, decide that you will not spend time and effort on worrying.
