🌟 The Synapse Mentorship Program is open for applications! 🌟

We are looking for mentors and mentees to join our mentorship program that runs from October 2025 to April 2026.

As a mentor you’ll have the chance to inspire and guide motivated students, reflect on your career decisions, and expand your professional network.

As a life science student, you’ll get 1:1 mentorship, attend workshops and networking events, and explore different career opportunities.

8 out of 10 life science students feel underprepared for industry careers, and that’s a gap we can’t ignore ❗

📊 A recent survey conducted by Synapse revealed that 82% of life science students don’t feel prepared for careers in biotech, pharma, or startups. It’s a familiar story, and it's exactly what inspired us to launch the BioBusiness Summer School years ago.

Students are especially interested in consulting, entrepreneurship, leadership, and networking, the very skills that aren’t typically taught in science degrees. That’s exactly what the BioBusiness Summer School delivers. From August 18-22, this year’s edition will bring together ambitious students and recent graduates for five intensive days in Copenhagen, focused on building real-world knowledge and industry-ready skills. 🚅 We’re excited to launch a new travel grant initiative for students based in Odense and Aalborg attending our summer schools.

The grant will be available to selected participants of our two upcoming summer schools:

- BioBusiness Summer School in Copenhagen (1,000 DKK)
- Clinical Summer School in Aarhus (500 DKK)

These 5- and 2-day programmes offer the opportunity to explore two of Denmark’s strongest life science hubs, cities where many students go on to build their careers after graduation. Participants will be selected through our usual application process, and the grant will be provided afterwards to those eligible.

We hope this initiative makes it easier for more students across Denmark to take part, and gives you too the opportunity to explore topics as business and clinical trials, beyond academia.
