Reflections on the first ever ✨Life Science Talent Evening✨ co-hosted by Synapse Life Science Connect, which took place at the BioInnovation Institute (BII) last Thursday!

Together with Copenhagen Capacity, we organised an exciting event for 150 international students and young professionals eager to explore their future career paths in Denmark 🙌.

We were delighted to see so many companies enthusiastically engaging with international talent and expressing interest in bringing them on board in the future!

Company representatives from Coloplast, Devote Consulting, Roche, McKinsey & Company, and Simon Kucher joined us for the guidance coffee chats, sharing valuable insights into their corporate environments and inspiring participants to stay proactive and curious during their job search ☕.

Another highlight of the evening was the start-up pitch and panel, where Nick Milne (Octarine Bio) , Adarsh Raj (Vasuqi), Christoffer Merrild (Heureka Therapeutics), and Carlotta Bercht (Equilibrium Diagnostics) reflected on their journeys and emphasized that when recruiting for an early-stage company, they look for people who are agile, curious, and genuinely driven by the company mission.

We look forward to seeing the fruitful networking results from this event unfold in the future. We are grateful to Copenhagen Capacity, the BioInnovation Institute and Københavns Kommune for their support in bringing this event to life!

From choosing Sustainable Biotechnology at Aalborg University early on to now developing stem cell‑based products, David has seen firsthand how innovation, impact and market reality must go hand‑in‑hand for sustainable technologies to succeed. He’s particularly excited about how stem cells can unlock entirely new protein and molecule products that current production platforms can’t handle yet. 🧬
