A Design Choice Rooted in Dignity and Versatility

“When Will You Make an inmu with Eyes and Ears?”

This is a question we occasionally hear—mostly from people who only know of inmu through second-hand information. And, of course, it’s something we’ve considered.

However, our choice to design inmu sensory cushions without strong associations to animals or characters was very intentional. We wanted to create a design that avoids being perceived as a toy and instead feels at home in any living room, care setting, or on the go.

Our goal was to craft something that supports the user in maintaining dignity and independence. By giving inmu an elegant and timeless appearance, it blends seamlessly into diverse environments and appeals to people of all ages.

This neutral design approach also ensures that inmu can adapt to the user’s imagination and personal connection. It doesn’t tell the user how to feel or interact—it invites them to discover their own way of enjoying its soothing music and gentle vibrations.

In short, inmu is designed not just as a product, but as a tool that empowers users, fosters connection, and integrates beautifully into everyday life.
